The Gigantic Multifunctional Vessel Pioneering Spirit Set a Pipeline-Laying Record Last Week During Operations for the TurkStream Project in the Black Sea.
The offshore service provider Allseas said on Thursday via social media that the enormous vessel Pioneer Spirit set a pipe-laying record on Sunday, August 26. Specifically, the massive Pioneering Spirit installed a record of 6.3 kilometers of pipeline in one day during work on the TurkStream project. To recall, the vessel resumed laying the second offshore pipeline (Line 2) of the TurkStream gas pipeline towards Kiyikoy, Turkey, at the end of June.
The Pioneering Spirit is currently working on the gas pipeline for the second time after completing the installation of TurkStream Line 1 in April.
The gas pipeline operated by Gazprom is a pipeline project that stretches across the Black Sea, from Russia to Turkey and up to the Turkish border with neighboring countries.
