The gigantic multifunctional vessel Pioneering Spirit broke a pipeline laying record last week during TurkStream project operations in the Black Sea.
Offshore service provider Allseas said Thursday via social media that the massive ship Pioneer Spirit broke a pipe laying record on Sunday, August 26. Notably, the massive Pioneering Spirit installed a record 6,3 kilometers of pipeline in one day while working on the TurkStream project. As a reminder, the vessel resumed plumbing the second offshore pipeline (Line 2) of the TurkStream pipeline towards Kiyikoy, Turkey, at the end of June.
Pioneering is currently working on the pipeline for the second time following the completion of the TurkStream Line 1 installation in April.
The pipeline operated by Gazprom is a pipeline project that stretches across the Black Sea from Russia to Turkey and up to Turkey's border with neighboring countries.
