The Port Authority of MA (CPMA) reported the collision between two cargo ships in São Marcos Bay, in São Luís. The crash occurred on Sunday, September 29. Starting today, Petrobras will sell all its maritime fuel (bunker) with a maximum sulfur content of 0.5%, benefiting the environment.
The accident involved the cargo ships Berge Phan Xi Pang, flagged from the Isle of Man, which departed the Port of Itaqui at 14:14 on Sunday, and Wugang Atlantic, flagged from Liberia, which was docking at the Ponta da Madeira Maritime Terminal (VALE).

According to information from CPMA, the ships collided during maneuvers. The damage did not affect the buoyancy of the vessels, and there were no leaks.
Furthermore, the Port Authority of MA stated that there were no fatalities resulting from the accident.
The Authority announced that an inquiry will be initiated to investigate the causes, consequences, and responsibilities for the navigation accident.
Bourbon Offshore Vessel Sinks in the Atlantic Ocean. Three Crew Members Rescued, 11 Missing
The offshore supply tugboat, Bourbon Rhode, which found itself near the eye of Hurricane Lorenzo on Thursday, September 26, sank in the Atlantic, confirmed the vessel’s owner. Three crew members were rescued, while the search for the remaining eleven crew members is ongoing.
In an update on Saturday, Bourbon Offshore stated: “In the context of search operations for the Bourbon Rhode tugboat, initiated on September 26, the mobilized rescue teams recovered a lifeboat with three crew members on board, the boat was identified by a Falcon 50 [jet aircraft] specially equipped for this type of mission and sent by the French Navy.
In an update on Sunday night, the 29th, Bourbon said that the search for Bourbon Rhode continues with the full support of Cross AG and the French navy, under the authority of the mayor representing the French national maritime authority.
