Financing Through Letters of Credit Offered by Banco do Nordeste Will Provide Neoenergia Clients With Ease and Agility in the Process of Acquiring Solar Energy Generating Panels, for Both Residential and Commercial and Industrial Areas
Neoenergia and Banco do Nordeste announced this week that they have closed a new partnership to provide access to solar energy for residential clients. Account holders of Banco do Nordeste will have special financing conditions and more agility in the negotiations, facilitating the acquisition of Neoenergia’s photovoltaic systems. The service will be contracted through FNE Sol Pessoa Física, a credit line from the Constitutional Financing Fund of the Northeast, which grants up to 100% of the investment.

Process for Acquiring and Installing the Solar Energy Generating System
According to Hugo Nunes, Director of Liberalized Business at Neoenergia, the partnership with Banco do Nordeste is a way to facilitate and expedite the approvals and access to a credit line, making solar energy systems more accessible and even more attractive to clients.
Nunes also spoke about the expansion of possibilities regarding the financing installment amount, which is approximately equal to the current energy bill, not to mention that the installation of photovoltaic panels can generate savings of around 95% on the bill.

Roraima bets on the sun to escape high tariffs: Amid the energy crisis and price hikes, solar energy is growing in Roraima and transforming consumption in the North region.
The Director of Business at Neoenergia highlighted the payment term for the purchase of the panels and installation at the residence, which is up to 8 years, considering that the lifespan of solar panels is over 20 years.
Banco do Nordeste and Neoenergia Provide Online Platform for Clients
The entire financing contracting process is conducted directly with Banco do Nordeste. The President of Banco do Nordeste, José Gomes da Costa, stated that self-generation of energy has become a worldwide trend.
On Neoenergia’s website, a system has been made available for simulating the installation costs of solar energy panels and the purchase of the complete system. An online platform has also been provided for clients to closely monitor the entire purchase process until the installation of panels at home.
According to data from Neoenergia, the company ended 2021 with 1,688 residential installations of solar energy systems in consumer units, in addition to serving 36 commercial clients through its plants, in the remote self-consumption modality. Neoenergia currently has 27 MWp sold throughout the installation process, with a forecast to end 2022 with more than 2,400 installations in homes and businesses.
Neoenergia in Expansion Phase Across the Country
Neoenergia is working on presenting residential solutions as well as for companies all over Brazil, with micro and mini photovoltaic generation, which have installed capacities of up to 75 kW and between 75 kW and 5 MW.
Regardless of the installed capacity, any energy production that is not consumed generates credit that can be used on the electricity bill of the generating unit itself and also in registered units. However, both must be registered under the same ownership and in the distributor’s area for at least 5 years.
