The culinary training initiative is part of the Young Culinary Talents Program, developed in 2015 to identify culinary talents throughout Latin America. Globally, Nestlé aims to help 10 million young people access job opportunities by 2030.
Applications for the Free Culinary Course Happen Online
Those interested in the available spots for the free course from Nestlé must fill out a digital form provided by the program by May 31, which will require information such as full name, address, WhatsApp number, complement, neighborhood, state, municipality, CPF, RG, date of birth, among others. It will also be necessary to write a summary of their qualities, skills, competencies, and areas of interest within gastronomy, focusing on relevant aspects that can enhance their resume.
According to Lucianne Fraga, Chef 2 Chef Manager at Nestlé Professional, it is part of Nestlé’s commitment to transform the lives of young people through training, especially focusing on those in vulnerable situations.
Thus, the differentiating factor of the new edition of the free culinary course is that students no longer need to be enrolled in a university or technical culinary course; however, they must have some type of experience in the field. Many young individuals do not have access to education but need initial support to enter the profession, thus, through Nestlé’s network, it is also possible to assist participants in starting their careers in this highly competitive market.
