New Caixa Econômica Federal Competition for High School Candidates May Be Announced Soon. About 800 Remnants from the Last Competition Have Already Been Called.

On Wednesday (24), yet another step toward the realization of the Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) competition was taken, as the president of the institution, Rita Serrano, announced through a post on her social media, the calling of 800 remnants from the last competition, which took place in 2014.

Demand for Mid-Level and Higher-Level Employees May Generate a New Competition

According to the president of Caixa, the calls will begin in June for immediate start. During the institutional ceremony on January 12, Serrano had already emphasized the great demand for new employees, which may ensure new selection processes in the medium term.

Last year, Caixa Econômica Federal had expressed interest in holding a new public competition once the issue of the remnants was resolved. Thus, some news in this regard may be announced soon. During the event, the president also reinforced that Caixa is undergoing a process of opening new branches, which will require the need for new employees.

The validity of the last competition, which began in 2014, was set to expire in 2016. However, due to the failure to call the approved candidates, a Public Civil Action (PCA) was filed with the Labor Public Ministry (LPM) to ensure the calling of all approved candidates. Therefore, the selection process remains valid until a final decision is reached in court.

Entry into the institution is made through the bank technician career. Interested candidates for the Caixa Econômica Federal competition must have a high school diploma and will have an initial salary of R$ 3,000.

What Does a Bank Technician Do?

The approved candidates in the Caixa Econômica Federal competition for the Bank Technician career will be responsible for providing public service, conducting transactions, and selling products and services. Additionally, they identify customers by verifying the authenticity of documents, fingerprints, and signatures when specific training is conducted. They also perform administrative activities and banking operations using technological equipment and tools.

The technicians input and query data in computerized operational systems and other applications related to their activities, as well as assist in their maintenance and improvement, prepare, draft, and check documents and general correspondence, perform various calculations and numerical controls, identify and point out improvement opportunities in the processes they work in, and execute other activities related to the occupational content of the positions.

It should be noted that, in addition to remuneration, Caixa employees also receive various benefits, such as profit-sharing, childcare assistance, transportation vouchers, meal or food assistance, supplementary pension, opportunities for professional advancement, access to training and development actions, among others.

In addition to the last Caixa Econômica Federal competition for open competition for bank technicians, which began in 2014, a new selection took place in 2021 to fill 1,100 mid-level vacancies, which were only for candidates with disabilities, with 1,000 for immediate filling and 100 for the reserve list.

The opportunities, at the time, were for the positions of bank technician, to work in branches in all 27 states, and bank technician in the area of information technology, stationed only in Brasília, in the Federal District.
