Announcement of the new PAC brings positive projections for investments in Rio de Janeiro

The announcement of the Federal Government's new PAC was the highlight of the national market at the end of last week.

Strategically focused on improved infrastructure and sustainable progress, this program marks a turning point in the investment direction outlined by the federal government.

In the state of Rio de Janeiro, Firjan plays an extremely important role in this evolving scenario.

Led by President Eduardo Eugenio Gouvêa Vieira and 1st Vice President Luiz Césio Caetano, the federation will be responsible for allocating resources and investments in the state.

The industrial entity has been actively involved in the new PAC, since its proposals and visions converge with the purpose of the program.

Rio de Janeiro will be the biggest beneficiary of the Government's billionaire contribution, with a colossal investment of R$ 342,6 billion allocated to works and services to benefit the population of Rio de Janeiro.

Firjan's suggestions and contributions, the result of the hard work of the Industrial Policy Working Group, reinforce the importance of this strategic alignment with the federation in Rio de Janeiro.

“It is an enormous satisfaction to receive the announcement of these works that can make Brazil move forward considerably. The PAC coincides greatly with part of the work of Agenda Brasil 4.0. These are proposals with which Firjan is absolutely involved and will contribute a lot to the development of Rio de Janeiro”, stated Eduardo Eugenio.

In the state of Rio de Janeiro, the oil and gas market is the highlight in the investment of the new PAC, since 40% of the projects benefited by the amount are in the segment.

Firjan will advance in the Angra 3 project with investments from the new PAC

One of the main infrastructure development initiatives of the New PAC is the progress in studies for the construction of the Angra 3 nuclear power plant.

Firjan, aware of the importance of safe energy for the country, defends the completion of this project. The plant is a fundamental pillar to ensure national energy security, representing a significant advance towards the autonomy and sustainability of the energy supply.

Within the scope of the Oil and Gas sector, the New PAC brings with it ambitious plans. The highlight is the Route 3 Integrated Project, designed to drain and process part of the natural gas coming from the pre-salt in the Santos Basin.

This strategic infrastructure project will not only contribute to the sector's expansion, but will also reinforce Rio de Janeiro's position as a crucial hub for the energy industry.

In this way, the launch of the New PAC and its positive impact for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil as a whole reinforce the importance of strategic partnerships such as Firjan, which plays a central role in promoting development, sustainability and competitiveness in the national scene.
