New Nissan Car Arrives to Challenge Giants Like C3 Aircross and Spin. It Is the Nissan Livina 2025, a Minivan That Was Already Sold in the Brazilian Market Before.
The Nissan Livina, a new car that enjoyed some popularity in Brazil in the late 2000s and early 2010s, continues to perform well in the international market, especially in countries like the Philippines. Despite its last generation having been sold in Brazil until 2014, the Livina has never been discontinued in other markets, receiving two more generations since then. In addition to the model we know, the latest generation of the Nissan Livina was launched in 2020, resulting from a collaboration with Mitsubishi, bringing innovations while maintaining the brand’s tradition in the segment.
Check Out the Details About the New Nissan Livina
The new platform of the Livina minivan is for a medium car, the same as some other Nissan vehicles offered abroad, making it a quite large car. Specifying its dimensions, it measures 4.51 m in length, with a good wheelbase of 2.77 m, 1.78 m in width, and 1.70 m in height. The weight is relatively light at 1,225 kg, and the trunk can hold 612 L with five seats in use, while with seven seats up, it can only accommodate 181 L.
The design is a strong point of the Nissan Livina, which is very attractive. In front, we have the famous chrome Vmotion grille from Nissan, the bumper features several creases, and the lighting system is split with LED daytime running lights above and fog lights below.

On the sides, the Japanese brand adopts an interesting silhouette, along with 16 or 17-inch wheels. Moving to the rear, we have an integrated spoiler, a sporty bumper, and full LED taillights.
Nissan Livina 2025 Reaches 180 km/h
Inside, the new Nissan car maintains the same simplicity seen in the new C3 Aircross, which is sold here lacking several features. The interior is mainly hard plastic, but everything seems well put together, typical of Nissan.
The standout feature of this interior is the ample space, as opposed to the C3 and Spin, the Nissan Livina comfortably seats seven passengers. The equipment list is quite sparse, lacking several things. We have a simple dashboard with a trip computer, and the higher-end versions come with a keyless entry. The climate control is also conventional, and we have a simple multimedia system.
In terms of engine, the Nissan Livina offers only one option, the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which always runs on gasoline. Unfortunately, this is the only setup in a car of this size with seven seats.
The new car from Nissan delivers up to 104 horsepower and 14.3 kgfm of torque, which can be paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. The performance is very weak, taking more than 15 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, and according to the manufacturer, it reaches a top speed of 180 km/h.
Will the New Nissan Car Arrive in Brazil?
In terms of safety, the new Nissan Livina brings only the basics. It has traction and stability control, four airbags, disk brakes with ABS in the front, and drums in the rear, lacking many features compared to more modern and even more basic vehicles. However, it is enough to compete with the Spin and Aircross.
The new Livina 2024 has a design that is indeed very appealing, along with the best interior space in its category, but it falls short in terms of engine, transmission, and also in equipment, and if it were to come to Brazil, with this engine and transmission, it would quickly be canceled by Brazilians, who have become more demanding.
