Noble Corporation and Petronas Suriname E&P Sign Clean Daily Rate Contract for Extended Scope in Block 52, with New Collaboration Option.
Suriname is the stage for yet another partnership in the oil and gas sector, with offshore drilling contractor Noble Corporation and Malaysian oil company Petronas, through its subsidiary Petronas Suriname E&P, agreeing to swap equipment for an extended scope in Suriname.
Based on an existing contract, Noble and Petronas Suriname E&P have entered into an agreement for the 7th generation drillship Noble Voyager to drill a well in the Offshore Block 52 of Suriname. The scope of work has been transferred to the Noble Voyager from the Noble Discoverer, to which the contract option was previously assigned. Additionally, Petronas Suriname E&P is expanding its offshore operations in Suriname, strengthening the company’s presence in the region.
Expansion Contract in Suriname for PETRONAS
The contract extension is expected to commence in February 2024, with an estimated duration of 120 days.

Clean Daily Rate and New Option
The clean daily rate is US$ 470,000, according to the companies. The parties also agreed to add a new well option to the contract.
Collaboration with PETRONAS in Suriname
