Betânia Lácteos Announces Investment of R$ 70 Million in New Factory in Ceará, Generating Jobs and Income for Over 4 Thousand Residents of the State
The agribusiness Betânia Lácteos inaugurated its new factory in Morada Nova, in the interior of Ceará, last Tuesday (5). With an investment of over R$ 70 million in the factory, the unit will be the only one in Ceará to produce powdered milk. According to Betânia, there will be 60 new direct jobs and over 4,000 indirect jobs, thanks to the increase in milk processing capacity and also in the production of new dairy products at the unit.

The Morada Nova unit in Ceará occupies about 5,000 m², with a processing capacity of over 200,000 liters of milk per day, which expands the dairy agribusiness’s production capacity to over 1.4 million liters of milk produced per day.

According to Betânia Lácteos CEO Bruno Girão, the Morada Nova unit in Ceará has production capacity for export, even though it is not a large factory. However, its size is adequate enough to obtain the opportunity for export licensing soon.
