Betânia Lácteos announces an investment of BRL 70 million in a new factory in Ceará, generating jobs and income for more than 4 residents of the state
The agribusiness Betânia Lácteos inaugurated last Tuesday (5), its new factory in Morada Nova, in the interior of Ceará. With an investment of more than R$ 70 million in the factory, the unit will be the only one in Ceará to produce powdered milk. According to Betânia, there are 60 new direct jobs and more than 4 indirect ones, thanks to the increase in milk processing capacity and also in the production of new dairy products at the unit.

The Morada Nova unit, in Ceará, has around 5 thousand m², with a processing capacity of more than 200 thousand liters of milk per day, which increases the production capacity of the dairy agroindustry to more than 1,4 million liters of milk produced per day.

According to the CEO of Betânia Lácteos, Bruno Girão, the Morada Nova unit, in Ceará, has production capacity for export, even if it is not a large factory. However, its size is suitable enough to get the export licensing opportunity soon.
With a well-consolidated structure, the new agro-industrial complex in the state of Ceará will be able to produce, without any difficulty, the entire Betânia dairy line.
The new plant at the Morada Nova factory also has a sustainable solution for the effluents left over from milk production, in the northeastern semi-arid region, this will ensure a greater balance between production and demand in the super harvest of milk, which can occur in some seasons , according to the performance of the dairy herd.
