Baptized as Access Authorizations, the new Receita platform replaces the old e-procurement system, integrates the Service Portal, records all user actions, and allows creating, validating, canceling, rejecting, and auditing permissions between taxpayers and representatives in one place, with security, control, and transparency.
The New Receita Platform for electronic powers of attorney, now called Access Authorizations, was announced by the Federal Revenue. The new feature is now available on the Service Portal and becomes the official way to manage access for attorneys to taxpayers’ data.
According to the Federal Revenue, the New Receita Platform has been completely remodeled to offer more security, control, and transparency in the authorizations granted between taxpayers and their representatives, within the rules of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), modernizing digital services and improving the user experience for taxpayers and attorneys.
Why Receita Remodeled the System
In practice, the old functionality of electronic powers of attorney has been replaced by the new module Access Authorizations, maintaining the idea of allowing a person or company to authorize another to access their tax data, but with a more rigid security design and real-time control tools.

The Federal Revenue states that this change is part of a set of actions to modernize digital services, focusing on a simpler interface, clearer language, and full integration with the Service Portal, avoiding parallel systems and confusing menus.
Mandatory Confirmation of the Representative
One of the main changes in the New Receita Platform is the requirement for confirmation from the authorized person. The authorization only becomes effective after the designated representative logs into the system and confirms that they accept being an attorney.
This means that it is not enough for the taxpayer to register the authorization. The complete process is only completed when the attorney accesses the correct tab, views the pending request, and clicks to validate.
Without this validation step, the authorization remains ineffective, which reduces the risk of access being granted without the representative’s knowledge.
Simpler, Intuitive, and Integrated Interface
Receita also emphasizes that the New Receita Platform features a more modern and intuitive interface, which should facilitate the daily routine of those who need to manage multiple authorizations.
The system is now fully integrated with the Federal Revenue Service Portal, allowing users to navigate through options within the same environment where they already consult other services, such as declarations, registrations, and follow-ups, without needing to switch systems or electronic addresses.
More Security and LGPD in Practice
Another pillar of the New Receita Platform is the reinforcement of information security. The Access Authorizations module includes user activity logging and personal data protection in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
In practice, this means that all actions taken in the system can be traced, which enhances audit capability and provides more transparency for both the taxpayer and their representative.
Receita emphasizes that the system’s design was intended to reduce misuse, minimize fraud risk, and provide more clarity about who accesses what, when, and under what conditions.
How to Access the New Platform on the Service Portal
To use the New Receita Platform, the path is entirely through the Federal Revenue Service Portal. The basic step-by-step process is as follows:
- Access the Federal Revenue Service Portal.
- Select the service My Access Authorizations.
- Navigate between the Granted and Received tabs, depending on the user’s role at that moment.
In the Granted tab, the taxpayer sees the authorizations they have given to attorneys.
In the Received tab, the representative can view the authorizations granted in their name that still need to be validated, maintained, or rejected.
What the Taxpayer Can Do Within the System
Within the My Access Authorizations area, the New Receita Platform allows for managing the entire lifecycle of an authorization in a centralized manner. The available actions include:
- Grant a new authorization by providing the CPF or CNPJ of the representative and the services that can be accessed.
- View all information about a granted or received authorization, including status, dates, and who the involved parties are.
- Cancel a granted or received authorization at any time if the taxpayer or the representative no longer wishes to maintain that active link.
- Validate a received authorization, an essential step for the permission to actually take effect.
- Reject a received authorization if the representative does not wish to assume the role of attorney for that taxpayer.
With this set of commands, the user can create, validate, cancel, reject, and audit accesses without relying on in-person service, keeping the entire history accessible through the Service Portal.
More Control, Transparency, and Real-Time History
The proposal of the New Receita Platform is to provide the taxpayer with total control, in real time, over who can access their data at the Federal Revenue.
By concentrating all information on a single screen of granted and received authorizations, the system facilitates periodic review of accesses and reduces the risk of permissions being forgotten or maintained for too long.
Furthermore, the combination of mandatory confirmation of the representative, audit trail, and adherence to LGPD tends to strengthen trust in the use of electronic powers of attorney, especially in scenarios where offices, accountants, and companies deal with a large volume of clients and access delegations.
And you, have you checked out the New Receita Platform and plan to review the access authorizations you granted or received in recent years?
