The New Car Features Unique Foldable Steering Wheel Technology That Can Be Stored When Not in Use
Opel, the renowned German manufacturer, surprised the automotive scene by presenting its new technology of a new electric car prototype, which promises not only to revolutionize design but also to introduce futuristic technologies, according to the website Olhar Digital.
Dubbed Experimental EV, this innovative technology model is built on Stellantis’s cutting-edge STLA Medium platform. However, what really grabs attention is the revolutionary steering wheel, which offers the ability to be folded and stored when not in use by the driver. This innovation, according to Insideevs, joins other notable attributes, such as all-wheel drive, giving the vehicle a size slightly smaller than a Tesla Model Y.
Sleek Design and Cutting-Edge Technology
The Opel Experimental EV stands out not only for its foldable steering wheel technology. Its aesthetic is an impressive blend of creative lighting elements and bold lines that define its silhouette as a coupe crossover. The thin, elongated headlights house Opel’s iconic “gravatinha,” while the taillights follow this same aesthetic, culminating in a futuristic design ensemble. The partnership with Goodyear resulted in tires made of recycled rubber and aerodynamically designed wheels, aimed at enhancing the vehicle’s efficiency.
