ArcelorMittal, Major Steel Producer, Opens Its New Distribution Center in Petrolina, Pernambuco

The largest steel producer in the world and one of the largest in mining, the ArcelorMittal Group inaugurates a new distribution center in the city of Petrolina, in the state of Pernambuco. The space will sell various solutions and steel products for civil construction, industrial and agricultural complexes. The products range from nails, wire mesh and barbed wire, steel bars, screens, plates, and steel tubes.

René Kahler, Regional Sales Director at ArcelorMittal Long Steel, says, “Our distribution centers offer our entire mix of long steels, flat steels, and wires. We want to be part of the economic development in Pernambuco, bringing our services to all segments of the economy.”

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Distribution at ArcelorMittal Long Steel, Guilherme Sulzbach, states, “Petrolina was chosen for its strategic location and strong economic growth, mainly linked to the agricultural development of the São Francisco Valley region.”
