New Public Contest INCRA Has Been Authorized and Will Have 742 Vacancies. There Will Be Opportunities for Higher Education with Salaries That Can Reach R$ 7 Thousand.
A new public contest of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA) has been authorized and the announcement will be released still in the second half of this year. A total of 742 vacancies will be opened, which will be distributed among the positions of administrative analyst (137 vacancies), agronomy engineer (159 vacancies), and analyst in Agrarian Reform and Development (446 vacancies).
INCRA Public Contest Announcement Expected to Be Published Still in 2023
The announcement of the INCRA public contest was made through a press conference by the Ministry of Management and Innovation. According to Minister Esther Dweck, the expectation is that the announcement can be formulated and disclosed still in the second half of this year, with appointments being made next year.
Federal Deputy João Daniel (PT-SE), through his social media, states that the 742 vacancies of the INCRA public contest will strengthen the agency’s role in promoting agrarian reform and land regularization. It means more investments in qualified professionals to consolidate rural development.

Those approved for the administrative analyst position will be responsible for executing logistical and administrative activities of higher education related to the exercise of constitutional and legal competencies assigned to INCRA.
For analyst in Agrarian Reform and Development, those approved will be responsible for planning, monitoring, coordinating, and executing activities related to land use planning and agrarian reform, administration and oversight of the rural property registration, and systematization of information related to occupation, use, agrarian zoning, and socio-economic conditions.
Finally, those approved for the agronomy engineer position will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and overseeing activities compatible with their professional qualification related to agrarian policies and, more specifically, inspection, assessment of rural properties, and evaluation, aimed at verifying compliance with the social function of property, among others.
INCRA Salaries Offered in Its Public Contest
According to recent data from the Brazilian Open Data Portal, there are currently 3,001 vacant positions in the main roles at the agency, including Analyst in Agrarian Reform and Development, with 1,403, Administrative Analyst with 504, Administrative Technician with 363, and Technician in Agrarian Reform and Development, with 731 vacancies.
A 9% salary adjustment for federal executive employees has recently been sanctioned. As a result, INCRA salaries will now be R$ 4,781.76 to R$ 5,212.11 for Administrative Analyst and Analyst in Agrarian Reform and Development.
From R$ 3,109.70 to R$ 3,389.57 for Technician in Agrarian Reform and Development and from R$ 6,693.80 to R$ 7,296.24 for the position of Agronomy Engineer.
Learn About the Last INCRA Public Contest
The last public contest of the institution took place in 2010 organized by the Cetro Institute. At that time, 550 vacancies were made available. According to the institute’s report, 501 approved candidates were appointed, of which 191 did not take office.
Approximately 150 vacancies were allocated for Administrative Analyst, with higher education vacancies for system analysis and accounting. Also for higher education, 250 were allocated for Analyst in Agrarian Reform and Development in positions of Anthropology, Land Surveying or Cartographic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Forestry Engineering.
A total of 70 vacancies were designated for Technician in Agrarian Reform and Development for high school level, and the remaining 80 vacancies were for Agronomy Engineer, at higher education level.
The exams consisted of 60 multiple-choice questions, where the objective test had a duration of 4 hours and was composed of 15 questions of Portuguese Language, 10 questions of Basic Constitutional Law, 10 questions of Agrarian Legislation and Rural Development, 5 questions of computer science, and 30 questions of specific knowledge.
