New Renault SUV Grabs Attention In The Global Market. The Renault Rafale SUV Will Arrive With Three Engines And Promises To Deliver Up To 1,000 Km Of Range.
In the European market, Renault’s portfolio is full of models for all tastes and budgets. One of the models that stands out is the Renault Rafale SUV. It is a coupe SUV, styled like the Fiat Fastback, but of medium size. Now, Renault’s new SUV has received a version prepared by Alpine, featuring all-wheel drive and up to three engines.
Renault Rafale SUV Delivers Almost 300 Horsepower
The Renault Rafale Atelier Alpine is set to be one of the most expensive and equipped versions of the SUV lineup. The new Renault SUV has a length of 4.71 m, a width of 1.86 m, and a wheelbase of 2.74 m. This way, it comfortably accommodates 5 people and offers 530 liters in the trunk.
Previously, the car showcased an Espirit Alpine version as one of the most sophisticated. The SUV already featured a 1.2 turbo engine with 130 hp and 20.9 kgfm, working alongside two smaller electric motors.

600 km with three Chinese plug-in SUVs, same mode and air conditioning on: Jaecoo 7, BYD Song Plus, and Haval H6 hit the road, and the pump reveals who was truly the most economical.
The most powerful produced 70 hp and 20.9 kgfm, while the smaller one delivered 34 hp and 5 kgfm. Together, the engines deliver 200 hp. Meanwhile, the Renault Rafale Atelier Alpine has all these engines plus a rear one, which produces 134 hp.
The three engines help the coupe SUV reach nearly 300 hp and all-wheel drive, a first in its history. Additionally, this new version is a plug-in hybrid. With all this power, the new Renault SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds.
Renault Rafale Atelier Alpine Delivers 100 Km Of Electric Range
The model is equipped with a 22 kWh battery, providing an electric range of approximately 100 km. This component can be charged from 10% to 80% in just over two hours or fully recharged in about three hours.
With a combined power of 300 hp, the model offers a 100% electric range of up to 100 km on the WLTP cycle. The consumption is one of the main highlights. According to Renault, the vehicle shows an average consumption of 17.2 km/l (5.8 l/100 km) on the WLTP cycle using only the combustion engine.
With the assistance of the electric motor, the brand promises a consumption of only 0.7 liters per 100 km in mixed WLTP use – the equivalent of 142.8 km/l!
For now, there is no forecast for the model’s arrival in Brazil, but it seems that the Renault Rafale will serve as inspiration for the new mid-size SUV that the French brand will produce in Brazil.

To differentiate the versions prepared by Alpine, Renault made changes in the equipment lists of these Rafales. The Espirit is the most affordable and comes with several unique accessories such as mats and 20-inch wheels.
The Atelier version features a Satin Summit blue color on the body, darkened “Chicane” style 21-inch wheels, and a black Starry spoiler installed above the rear window. The Renault Rafale SUV also includes adaptive suspension, which operates after a camera installed at the front detects the terrain ahead and adjusts the shock absorbers accordingly.
By the way, these parts and the rear wheel steering angle have three different configuration modes. According to media reports, the prices for this version of the new Renault SUV have not been disclosed, but sales are set to begin in the second half of this year, with no confirmation regarding its arrival in Brazil.
Technologies Present In The New Renault SUV
An innovation is the Adaptive Suspension system, with Predictive Chamber, which continuously adjusts damping based on speed and driver reaction, providing comfort and performance in various road conditions.
In addition, the Rafale Atelier Alpine features an innovative Agility Control, allowing the driver to adjust the parameters of the 4Control Advanced system, damping levels, and rear steering angles in three modes: Comfort, Dynamique, and Sport.
These settings are available in all driving modes except for Snow mode, offering easy customization of the Rafale according to driver preferences.
