Açu Port Celebrates Two Years Without Accidents with Downtime at the Beginning of 2019
It has been a little over 3.15 million hours without a single workplace accident. That’s equivalent to an individual working 24 hours a day for 359 years without ever having an accident. This is the milestone that Açu Port celebrates at the beginning of 2019, reaching 2 years without accidents at the Multicargo Terminal (T-MULT). During this period, the terminal handled over 1 million tons, 40,000 trailers, and 57 vessels, further emphasizing their competence and concern for their employees, operationally speaking.
To celebrate the record, directors from Açu Port and the entire T-MULT team gathered to update the plaque displaying the number of days without accidents. “This milestone demonstrates our commitment to the Safety of people and our operations,” emphasized Tadeu Fraga, president of Açu Port Operations.
