The Forecast Is That FPSO Guanabara (Mero 1) Will Start Operations in April 2021 and Reach Production Peak in 2022.

The first definitive FPSO in the Mero field is expected to reach a production peak in its second year of operation of over 170 thousand barrels/day of oil and 6 million m³/day of natural gas. The unit will have a total processing capacity of 180 thousand barrels/day.

The system is designed to operate until 2048 in the pre-salt field of the Santos Basin. The system will have a total of 17 wells, comprising nine producers and eight water and gas injectors (WAG).

Petrobras has already requested the installation license for FPSO Guanabara from Ibama, which is expected to arrive at the location in January 2021 for anchoring to begin. The unit, from Modec, is being built in China.
