The multinational Ocyan, which operates in the oil and gas sector, has hundreds of vacancies offshore for candidates with high school and higher education who reside in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

A Ocyan, a company that provides services to the oil and gas industry upstream offshore in Brazil and abroad, has a new selection process for offshore vacancies open for candidates residing in Rio de Janeiro. In total, there are 140 opportunities for activities in the offshore maintenance and services sectors. Among the main open positions are those of scaffolding fitter, conventional boilermaker, welding inspector, climbing boilermaker, among others.

Requirements required by Ocyan to participate in its selection process

Complete high school education required, at least two years of experience in the position, certified as a Boilermaker Level 1 by the ABRAMAN system or three years of experience in the position of Boiler Helper.

Boiler climber N1

Complete high school education required, at least two years of experience in the position of Boilermaker, certified as a Level 1 Boilermaker by the ABRAMAN system or three years of experience in the position of Boilermaker Helper, and have certificates in accordance with NBR 15454, among others.

Welding Inspector LP/PM climber N1

Complete and qualified high school education by the National System of Qualification and Certification of Welding Personnel (FBTS) is required. The inspector for this activity can be N1 and have certificates in accordance with NBR 15475 of Rope Access – Qualification and Certification of People.

Outliner / Planning technician

High school education required with experience in designing or planning industrial activities.

In some cases, the company notes some difficulties in finding profiles that exactly fit the qualifications and technical certifications, which is an additional challenge.

The executive adds that, like all selection processes already carried out, Ocyan encourages diversity and aims to promote it in its units, giving priority to hiring that aims at its goals established in the socio-environmental and governance agenda.
