Exploration of oil and gas, mining and electricity in indigenous lands are authorized by the Government

Government bill to regulate mining, oil and gas production and electricity generation in indigenous lands was signed on Wednesday, 5, by President Jair Bolsonaro.

The text was signed during a ceremony at the Planalto Palace in celebration of Bolsonaro's 400 days in power. In a speech, Bolsonaro said that the liberation of indigenous reserves for mining was a “dream”, an old promise of his government.
