In order to position itself in the oil and gas business, Azevedo & Travassos presented last Monday (02/15) a proposal to acquire Heftos, a company and its assets from UTC Participações Group, headquartered in Macaé and operating in the oil market and heavy construction. A&T Construction intends to purchase 100% of Heftos Oil and Gas Constructions, located in São Paulo, a company specialized in services for the oil sector, which is based in Macaé (RJ).
Currently, UTC is undergoing judicial recovery. The proposal letter is a further step in the direct negotiations already held between the two parties, outlining contractual terms for A&T to deepen and finalize the legal, operational, and financial audit of Heftos Oil and Gas Constructions.

The proposal letter is an additional step in the negotiations already made between the two parties, outlining terms for A&T to deepen and finalize the legal, operational, and financial audit of Heftos.
Azevedo & Travassos is willing to structure financing of up to R$ 35 million for UTC to meet obligations of their judicial recovery, with the fiduciary alienation of UTC assets as collateral.
According to the proposal letter, the union of Azevedo & Travassos with Heftos will allow for an exchange of experiences in planning, construction methods, and business management accompanied by synergy and economies of scale, resulting in an increase in their commercial competitiveness and relevance in the market for construction and maintenance of industrial facilities, oil and energy, and also in the area of decommissioning production units in mature fields.

The company specializes in providing services for the oil sector in existing units and plants, both onshore and offshore, for the execution of expansions, renovations, and maintenance in the oil and gas sector.
Heftos has an operational support base in Macaé (RJ) and is currently executing contracts for refinery adjustments and maintenance of offshore platforms.
