Continuing its fuel exploration plan in four wells in the national territory in 2022, the company Petro-Victory announced the drilling of a new well in the Andorinha Field, in the Potiguar Basin, and expects good results from the operation.

The oil and gas company Petro-Victory is currently engaged in another well drilling operation, having announced the construction of a new well in the Andorinha Field, located in the Potiguar Basin, named by the company PVE-01. This is only the second well to be drilled in the company’s fuel exploration campaign in 2022, which foresees a total of 4 new search and production areas for resources.

Petro-Victory Announces Drilling of the Second Well in the Exploration Campaign in Brazil in 2022, This Time in the Andorinha Field, in the Potiguar Basin

The Brazilian oil and natural gas sector has been quite active in recent days, with the sale of Petrobras assets and new announcements of exploratory campaigns from other major players in the sector.

Now, it’s Petro-Victory’s turn to take the spotlight in the segment and announce a significant operation for its growth in the domestic market, the drilling of a new well in the Andorinha Field, located in the Potiguar Basin, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

Named PVE-01, the well to be drilled in the Rio Grande do Norte region is the second in the company’s exploration campaign in Brazilian oil and gas fields in 2022 and the first to undergo drilling operations in the Andorinha Field this year.

Additionally, Petro-Victory stated that, before beginning its direct mobilization for the Potiguar well, it is currently working with its rig supplier to conduct a short maintenance regime on the rig MAPEEN-01, which will be used in the drilling.

Thus, the national oil company’s schedule indicates that the maintenance period is expected to be completed within a week, and after that, the start of drilling the well in the Potiguar Basin should occur around the second half of this month of August.

The operation with the MAPEEN-01 rig will then take place after the 15th, and the equipment will begin drilling at 280 meters, targeting a well depth of 1,250 meters, a significant figure for Petro-Victory’s campaign.

Reserves of Well PVE-01 Are Expected to Be 118,000 Barrels of Oil, and the Company Aims to Utilize Capacity to Expand Domestic Production

The drilling process for the first well in the Potiguar Basin by Petro-Victory is expected to be completed within a period of 30 days, provided the operations go as planned with the MAPEEN-01 rig.

Moreover, the oil company confirmed that the well is responsible for proven reserves of 118,000 barrels of oil and is projected to add 150 barrels per day to the average production for the first 12 months, thus ensuring a good expansion in the company’s domestic production.

“The company is now fully operational in Brazil as we prepare to drill the PVE-01 and continue our multi-well drilling program in 2022. The well represents another exciting step to fulfill our growth plans in the Potiguar Basin, as it is our first development well in our producing field of Andorinha. The PVE-01 will be closely followed by the drilling of additional development wells: PVE-02 and PVE-03, which will complete our current campaign and drive the company towards continuous production,” highlighted Petro-Victory’s CEO, Richard Gonzalez.

The exploration campaign for new wells by Petro-Victory in Brazilian territory in 2022 is proceeding as planned, and the company could move on to the third area in the coming months, as soon as it completes the operation in the Andorinha Field.
