Aiming to Take Advantage of the Strong Heat-Up in the Renewables Sector, Petro-Victory Is Now Investing in Solar Energy Production for the Supply of the Andorinha Field and States That Operations at the Plant Will Start Soon.

The oil and natural gas company Petro-Victory has completed civil works and installed solar panels at the plant that will supply oil activities in the Andorinha Field, located in the Potiguar Basin. Thus, the company highlighted that it should soon begin the production of solar energy at the site, thereby investing in renewable, sustainable, and clean supply of its exploration operations in the fuels sector in the region.

Civil Works at the Solar Energy Production Plant in the Andorinha Field Are Now Completed and Petro-Victory Accelerates Project Schedule in the Potiguar Basin

In recent updates regarding the development of its oil and gas projects to the press and the public, Petro-Victory announced that the construction schedule of the solar energy plant in the Andorinha Field is now accelerated and production is expected to start soon.

According to the oil company, civil works are completed and solar panels are now installed in the field, the final phases of the construction project of this type of structure.

Furthermore, the company highlighted that the installation phase of the electrical system at the solar energy plant was successfully completed within the scheduled timeframe and that the operations of interconnecting the solar panels and installing the inverters are now fully completed.

The project was designed to ensure a total of 40 MWh/month to the Andorinha Field and supply Petro-Victory’s activities in the Potiguar Basin region, with strong projections for future production capacity growth.

Finally, the company’s schedule now indicates that the completion of the construction of the solar energy plant in the Andorinha Field should occur during this month of August, following the previously contracted cost of US$ 270,000 for the completion of this project phase.

Thus, after a commissioning period with the local utility, the plant should begin generating clean energy in September, ensuring a new perspective for more sustainable production and greater energy security in the Potiguar field.

Solar Energy Plant Installation Project in the Andorinha Field Reinforces Oil Company’s Commitment to Sustainability in Operations

The development of the solar energy plant installation project for the supply of oil and natural gas production in the Andorinha Field is a significant initiative for the renewables market in Brazil. It will contribute to minimizing the environmental impacts of non-renewable energy production.

Additionally, Petro-Victory believes that the plant will reduce Scope 2 emissions by approximately 60 tons of CO2 per year, decreasing the carbon intensity of the barrels of oil produced by the company.

“The installation and commissioning of our solar project in Brazil demonstrates our material commitment to ESG. The Andorinha Solar Project will reduce the Company’s carbon footprint in its field operations. As the Company expands oil production in the Andorinha Field, through its 2022 multi-well drilling program, we will continue to ensure that the Company minimizes its carbon emissions from operations,” stated the company’s CEO, Richard F. Gonzalez.

The company is now focusing its efforts on finalizing the last stages of the construction of the solar energy plant and intends to start resource production next month for the supply of the field in the Potiguar Basin.
