With the sudden suspension of Voepass, Petrobras needed to ensure the immediate continuity of its air routes in the North region. The company opted for Azul, which had already been previously approved under the state company’s technical criteria and held certification in Peotram, the internal program that regulates safety and quality in air and maritime transport. The choice ensured a quick, safe, and efficient transition, qualities that Petrobras seeks to maintain in all its operations, especially in hard-to-access regions like the Amazon.
Voepass Suspension Was Considered High Risk
Anac determined the precautionary suspension of Voepass after finding irregularities in the company’s operational management systems. The measure prevented the continuity of Petrobras’s logistical flights, generating immediate concerns about supplying its bases. As highlighted by InfoMoney, Voepass flights were essential for bringing technicians, engineers, and supplies to the Urucu unit.
