Two workers from the base also took part, highlighting the direct support of the category for the process.
According to the union, the meeting was productive and strategic, marking the beginning of a new phase with direct involvement from the legal department of the state company.
Indefiniteness Affects Health and Work Structure
During the meeting, the union warned about the impacts caused by the contractual indefiniteness.
The presence of two companies operating together, as pointed out by director Alexandre Vieira, has harmed the well-being of the workers.
According to him, the situation directly affects the occupational health of the oil workers.
Vieira emphasized that, since the workers perform the core activities of Petrobras, the state company must assume direct responsibility for them, including health and safety at work.
The coexistence of two distinct administrative structures creates operational confusion and legal insecurity.
Therefore, the union demands clarity and urgent formalization of the bond.
Proposal Already Has Support from the Base and Higher Instances
The oil workers have already approved the incorporation process during the Regional Congress (Congrenf 2024) and will discuss the topic at the National Plenary of the FUP (Plenafup).
Coordinator Sergio Borges stated that the category strongly supports the proposal and that continuous mobilizations will sustain it.
The workers highlighted their support as fundamental for the advancement of negotiations.
During the meeting, Petrobras indicated openness to new negotiations.
Borges informed that the next steps will include meetings with the company’s legal team, which will evaluate the technical aspects of the incorporation.
Positive Signals Strengthen Expectations
Thus, Sindipetro-NF considered the meeting a significant advance.
Moreover, Petrobras’s willingness to maintain dialogue reinforces the expectation of a definitive solution, after years of waiting.
For this reason, those involved see the formalization of the bond as a matter of justice and also institutional coherence.
The active participation of the union’s leadership as well as the workers demonstrates the collective commitment to decent working conditions.
Currently, expectations are focused on the results of the upcoming technical meetings, which, in turn, should detail the legal and operational parameters of the possible incorporation.
Category Will Be Kept Informed About Developments
Sindipetro-NF, in addition, reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and to constant information, ensuring that the workers in Cabiúnas are well-informed.
At the same time, the entity highlighted that it will continue to pressure for concrete solutions, while keeping the category mobilized and, above all, updated.
For this reason, the pursuit of formal recognition and also legal security remains a priority agenda for the union.
Thus, the fight for appreciation strengthens as it counts on the support of the base and the advancement of negotiations with Petrobras.
In this way, the entity hopes that the next steps of the process will truly bring historic achievements for the oil workers in the unit.
