Presidents of Petrobras and BNDES Establish Partnership for the Benefit of Decarbonization and Productive Development
About a month ago, the two institutions signed an important Technical Cooperation Agreement, which already included discussions on decarbonization, governance, productive development, as well as issues related to the oil and gas sector.
Now, the intention is to deepen this partnership, stimulating the supply chain of the energy sector, thus seeking to boost the growth of the national industry.
With the growing global concern about climate change and the need for cleaner and more sustainable energy adoption, Petrobras and BNDES see the opportunity to lead the energy transition process in Brazil.
The union of these two large public sector institutions aims not only to promote the diversification of energy sources in the country but also to foster innovation and technological development.
The directors of Petrobras, William França, responsible for Industrial Processes and Products, and Joelson Mendes, in charge of Exploration and Production, actively participated in the meeting.
Additionally, the directors of BNDES were present: Luciana Costa, overseeing Infrastructure, Energy Transition, and Climate Change; José Luis Pinho Leite Gordon, responsible for Productive Development, Innovation, and Foreign Trade; and Nelson Barbosa, in charge of Development and Structuring of Projects.
Joint Event Scheduled for September Aims to Stimulate the Supply Chain of the Oil and Gas Sector
The partnership between two of the largest institutions in the country, Petrobras and BNDES, strengthens Brazil’s position in the search for sustainable solutions and in addressing the challenges posed by global climate change.
The union of efforts between the oil company and the development bank signals a mutual commitment to lead the energy transition in the country.
Aligning with global demands for a low-carbon economy and the development of a modern, innovative, and environmentally responsible industry.
The event scheduled for September will be a unique opportunity for sector specialists, government representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss concrete solutions to face the challenges of the energy transition in Brazil.
The expectation is that the country can position itself as an international reference in adopting sustainable practices and promoting an increasingly green and innovative industry.
