This Monday, November 11, Petrobras Started Drilling the First Well in Uirapuru, a Block in the Pre-Salt of the Santos Basin. The Drilling Was Scheduled for 2020, but the State-Owned Company’s Partner Operators Decided to Move Up the Schedule. Buzios and Itapu Oil Fields Acquired by Petrobras Are Set to Generate 50 Thousand New Jobs.
The Exploratory Well in Uirapuru Is Located Near Carcará and Was Contracted in the 4th Sharing Round, in 2018. The Campaign Is Being Conducted with the West Tellus Rig, from Seadrill.

Petrobras Is Drilling the 5th Well This Year and Is Focused on Santos Pre-Salt and in Sergipe. The Campaign in Sergipe Is Conducted with the Petrobras 10,000 Rig from Transocean.
The Government of Sergipe Announced This Monday, 11, That a New Drilling Has Been Initiated by Petrobras in the Block SEAL-M-424, in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. The Block Was Acquired in the 6th ANP Bidding Round.
The Well Is the Seventh Drilled in SEAL-M-424 Since 2012 by Petrobras and the Third Done by the Company in the Basin This Year in Deep Waters of Sergipe, Where Significant Discoveries of Oil and Natural Gas Have Been Made and Now Work is Ongoing to Define the Extent of Future Fields.

The First (3-BRSA-1367-SES) Was Drilled in March, and the Second (3-BRSA-1368-SES) in June. During the First Drilling, Signs of Oil and Gas Were Found.
“We Will Wait Confidently for the Results of This Drilling and See if We Will Confirm New Fields Rich in Oil and Gas off Our Coast,” Said the Secretary of State for Economic Development, Science and Technology of Sergipe, José Augusto Carvalho.
