Petrobras' divestment program is still going from strength to strength. The company announced yesterday, Friday (13/09), the opening of the sale process of 100% of its stake in the land concessions Polo Cupiúba and Carapanaúba, in Amazonas. In this first stage of the process, divestment opportunities are disclosed, which the market usually calls a “teaser”.

The fields

The onshore fields for sale by Petrobras are located in Coari in the state of Amazon and are called Cupiúba and Carapanaúba.
The average production of the assets, according to Petrobras, was 81 barrels per day of oil and 82 thousand cubic meters of gas per day last year.

Petrobras pointed out that sales of the onshore fields are in line with the policy of the company's new management and added that the subsequent stages of the sale process will still be disclosed.

“This operation is in line with the optimization of the portfolio and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, aiming at generating value for our shareholders”, said the note.
