With the Change, Petrobras’ Regasification Ship in Bahia Will Be Redirected to the Pecém Terminal in Ceará
Petrobras informed the market in a relevant fact that it transferred, last Saturday (12/4), the operation of the Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal in Bahia (TR-BA) to Excelerate Energy Natural Gas Trading, the winner of the bidding for leasing the asset.

The signing of the Receipt Term provided for in the contract was carried out after the operation was approved by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
With Petrobras’ support, Excelerate obtained the necessary licenses and authorizations, also fulfilling the existing conditions precedent in the lease contract for the terminal’s operation. The regasification ship is already positioned at the TR-BA and, with the transfer of the operation, Excelerate has the possibility to make natural gas available to the market.

The docking of the Excelerate ship will also allow for the transfer of the Golar Winter regasification ship, serving Petrobras, to the Pecém LNG regasification terminal located in Ceará, making it capable of operating the three terminals connected to the country’s integrated natural gas transport network (Baía de Guanabara, Pecém and Bahia).
