Highlighted, The 10 Largest Companies in Brazil Listed in Forbes’ 2023 Global 2000 Ranking

In the 2023 edition of Forbes’ influential Global 2000 ranking, Brazilian giants – Petrobras, Vale, Suzano, Itaú, Bradesco, Eletrobras, JBS, and Banco do Brasil – made history by being listed among the largest companies globally. The ranking is based on four main metrics: sales, profits, assets, and market value.

The Highlight of Brazilian Companies in the Global Ranking

With a sense of national pride, it is essential to emphasize that the companies listed in 2023 totaled sales of US$ 50.8 trillion, profits of US$ 4.4 trillion, assets of US$ 231 trillion, and a market value of US$ 74 trillion. Despite a slight decline in cumulative profits, assets, and market value compared to the previous year, 2023 marked the first time total revenue surpassed the US$ 50 trillion mark.

This global ranking included companies from 58 countries, with American companies leading with 611 entities listed and Chinese companies in second place with 346 companies.

How Brazilian Giants Performed in the Ranking

The standout in the Brazilian landscape is Petrobras, which achieved the best position among the listed Brazilian companies, showcasing the strength of national companies in the global arena.
