SBM Offshore Has Internship Openings in Its Second Semester 2022 Program; To Participate, Candidates Must Meet Requirements, Such as Being Proficient in English. 

This week, SBM Offshore released more information about how its internship program for the second semester of 2022 will work. Candidates without experience must reside in Santos, the city of São Paulo (SP) or the capital of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) to work in person. The imposed requirements are: 

  • Graduation expected between December 2023 or July 2024 so that the candidate can work for a year and a half to two years, the maximum period to intern with the same company. 
  • Must be studying in areas related to the institution, such as  Naval Engineering and Architecture, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or other types of engineering. 
  • Advanced English for conversation with other members of the institution. 
  • Knowledge of the Office suite, especially regarding administration and creation of spreadsheets and slides. 
  • Must be available to work with the company for at least 30 hours a week. 
  • ✔️ Must pass all English language and logical reasoning tests. 
  • Must reside in the city of Santos, São Paulo (SP) or Rio de Janeiro (RJ), capital, since the intern’s activities will be fully in person.

Regulation 

The regulation sector operates in person in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and among the intern’s functions are: 

  • Analyze non-conformities in safety processes to create ways to convert and automate them. 
  • Effective communication with other company departments, such as legal and engineering. 
  • Develop projects focusing on improvement and agility to meet deadlines set by the team. 

Accepted courses to work in regulation are chemical and civil engineering. 

Reliability  SBM Offshore

Accepted courses for reliability roles are targeted at mechanical and electrical engineering in the city of Santos, São Paulo (SP). Among the requirements that will be part of this professional’s daily life include the consolidation of reliability maintenance KPIs, generating reports using the Office Suite, and supporting the creation of budgets for other budgets.

HSSE

The HSSE area is intended for candidates available for in-person work in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) who are interested in managing risk, processing incident analyses and operated assets, as well as creating safety plans and area classification maps. 

The ideal courses to be part of this selection process are chemical engineering or environmental-focused engineering. The intern profile should be analytical and critical for solving internal problems. 

Purchasing | Supply Chain

The purchasing function  will take place in the capital of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and will welcome future graduates in areas such as production engineering, mechanical engineering and administration.  The functions of interns working in purchasing will include: 

  • Keep purchasing reports up to date. 
  • Look for suppliers with affordable prices to meet the internal demands of the company. 
  • Provide purchasing support to the administration areas and other institution sectors that also deal with product acquisition.
  • Issue purchase orders and requests. 

Operations | FPSO CDM SBM Offshore

The operations are designated for interns who applied to the program in the city of Santos (SP).  One of the main functions of the professional in their daily tasks will be to provide support for customer service and chartering, as well as risk assessment. The courses in petroleum engineering along with civil engineering stand out the most in the selection process conducted by Human Resources (HR).
