Annual Benefit Can Release Up to R$ 1,518.00 in December, with Amount Defined by the Months Worked in the Base Year and Eligibility Rules; Consultation and Withdrawal Vary Depending on the Link and the Paying Bank.

In December, workers who have not yet withdrawn the PIS/Pasep salary allowance can secure up to R$ 1,518.00, depending on the number of months worked in the base year and the rules set by the federal government.

In 2025, payments follow the unified calendar of the Salary Allowance and use the minimum wage in force in the payment year as a reference.

Who Receives PIS/Pasep in 2025

The salary allowance is not paid to all formal workers.

To be eligible in 2025, one must simultaneously meet several criteria defined by law and detailed by the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Caixa Econômica Federal.

The first requirement is to be registered in PIS or Pasep for at least five years.

In addition, the worker must have performed paid work with a signed contract, in the private or public sector, for at least 30 days in 2023, which is the base year considered for the payment calendar of 2025.

Another central point is income: the average monthly remuneration in 2023 must have been up to two minimum wages.

It is also mandatory that employment data be correctly reported by the employer to the government, through Rais or eSocial, within official deadlines.

If the information was not sent or has errors, the worker may be excluded from the regular batch and depend on correction and any extra batch.

How the Value of the Allowance is Calculated

The amount of PIS/Pasep paid in 2025 is proportional to the length of service in the base year of 2023.

The calculation is based on a single rule: each month worked entitles the worker to 1/12 of the minimum wage in force in the payment year.

In 2025, the minimum wage is R$ 1,518.00, resulting in R$ 126.50 for each month considered.

In practice, those who worked all 12 months of 2023 with a formal link and meet the other requirements receive the full amount of R$ 1,518.00.

Those who worked for a shorter period receive a reduced amount, calculated month by month.

It is also important to remember that, for the calculation, periods equal to or greater than 15 days in the same month count as a full month.

Monthly Value Table

The calculation used by the government always follows the same logic: divide the minimum wage of 2025 (R$ 1,518.00) by 12 and multiply by the number of months worked in 2023.

1 month — R$ 126.50
2 months — R$ 253.00
3 months — R$ 379.50
4 months — R$ 506.00
5 months — R$ 632.50
6 months — R$ 759.00
7 months — R$ 885.50
8 months — R$ 1,012.00
9 months — R$ 1,138.50
10 months — R$ 1,265.00
11 months — R$ 1,391.50
12 months — R$ 1,518.00

As the length of service increases, the value grows accordingly.

This table is the same used by banks, companies, and the government itself to simulate the benefit.

How to Check If You Are Entitled to the Allowance

Before thinking about the withdrawal, it is essential to confirm if the benefit has actually been released.

The main check is done through the Digital Work Card app or the Gov.br Portal, which shows whether the worker has been enabled, the exact amount, and at which bank the credit will be available.

It is also possible to check the status of the allowance through the Alô Trabalho Central, at the phone 158, or in person at units of the Regional Labor Superintendencies.

In 2025, payments follow a calendar that started in February, organized according to the month of birth, and the amounts remain available for withdrawal until December 29, 2025.

In addition to regular batches, the government has been releasing extra batches for workers whose data was corrected after the start of the calendar.

These additional payments also respect the same value limits, between R$ 126.50 and R$ 1,518.00, and remain available until the end of the year.

Withdrawal via Caixa Tem or Banco do Brasil

After confirming eligibility, the withdrawal method varies depending on the type of employment link.

Those who worked in private companies receive through PIS, managed by Caixa Econômica Federal.

Public civil and military servants who meet the Pasep rules receive through Banco do Brasil.

In the case of PIS, Caixa may automatically credit the amount to the customer’s current or savings account at the bank.

If there is no open account, the benefit is usually made available in a digital social savings account, managed through the Caixa Tem app, which allows paying bills, making Pix transfers, and withdrawals with an authorization code.

For those receiving through Pasep, Banco do Brasil preferably releases the amount in the customer’s own account.

If there is no active account, the withdrawal can be made directly at the branches, upon identification, or by transfer to other banks.

Why Do Amounts Vary Among Workers

The difference between the minimum of R$ 126.50 and the maximum of R$ 1,518.00 is directly linked to the length of signed employment in 2023.

Those who spent the entire year employed, maintaining average remuneration within the limit of up to two minimum wages and with correctly reported data, receive the full amount.

However, those who had only a few months of formal employment, alternated between employment and unemployment, or started work mid-year only receive the corresponding fraction.

In many cases, workers who changed jobs several times or had temporary contracts only notice this difference when checking the statement in the app.

Therefore, experts recommend checking, in the Digital Work Card, if all employment links for 2023 are correctly entered and, in case of discrepancies, first contact the employer and, if necessary, seek assistance from the Ministry of Labor to request adjustments.

As the money remains available until the end of December, those who identify that they have a released amount still have time to regularize withdrawal issues and decide how to use the resources.

Have you checked if you have PIS/Pasep to receive, or are you still at risk of leaving this money unclaimed in December?
