The director of the EAD technical courses, Gustavo Castioni, explains that professional training through EAD becomes the preference for the 18 to 44 age group due to the practical content offered and the average duration of the qualification. “Confirming the interest of this target audience, the profile of the student studying in the EAD modality is characterized by autonomy in learning, organization, and proactivity,” he says.
One of the main advantages of EAD is the opportunity for a quality course anywhere in Brazil. Castioni adds: “We have many testimonials from students who took Senac EAD courses in parallel with work activities. […] Others shared that they use the weekend to review content and resolve questions presented in classes.”
Other factors responsible for the increase in the number of people preferring EAD include the growth of the internet network and the decrease in the costs of devices such as smartphones and laptops.
In this vein, the Internet Management Committee of Brazil (CGI.br) developed the TIC Domicílios 2020 research, which highlighted that the number of households with internet increased by 12% compared to the previous year, in addition to the growth in the completion of online courses by 21%.
How to Prepare for Online Technical Courses?
For those intending to start studies in this modality, the recommendation from the Senac EAD director is to organize a routine, with specific days and times dedicated to reading, completing exercises, assignments, and assessments.
“I believe that the best suggestion I can give is for students not to give up when the first difficulties arise, as involvement and dedication are fundamental to developing knowledge. Being attentive to notices and deadlines for submitting activities and schedules is also very important and will provide peace of mind in the learning journey,” he argues.
Regarding the level of technical courses offered by Senac EAD, Gustavo states that the materials are developed by specialists, doctors, and masters. Theory and practice are allied so that students can understand the daily experiences of the profession.
“An important point that should be highlighted is our pedagogical model, focused on developing students’ skills for the workplace. The performance indicators are well defined and help classes identify the importance of the activities being performed,” he emphasizes.
