Are You Looking for a Used Car That Offers Great Comfort and Performance? The Chevrolet Cruze Sedan Offers Very Interesting Options with Prices Under R$ 60 Thousand.

The Cruze was launched in the Brazilian automotive market at the end of 2011 as a 2012 model, to replace the retired Vectra, which could no longer compete with the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. In this generation, Chevrolet’s mid-sized sedan comes equipped with a 1.8 Ecotec flex engine, capable of generating up to 144 hp and 18.9 kgfm of torque. The model offers manual or automatic transmission options, both with six gears.

Advantages of the Chevrolet Cruze Sedan Compared to Rivals

With great interior space and features, the used Chevrolet Cruze sedan can currently be found at a price equivalent to half that of a New Onix Plus, the compact sedan from the brand.

In terms of features, even the simplest version already includes air conditioning, power steering, cruise control, four airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, ABS brakes with electronic brake distribution (EBD), among other items.

The most complete LTZ adds leather seats, power-folding side mirrors, two curtain-type airbags, rear parking sensors, push-button start, multimedia system, and integrated GPS navigation with a 7-inch display.

For the 2015 line of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan, the front ensemble was redesigned and received LED daytime running lights. Another visible change came from the new set of 17-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the Ecotec 1.8 16V engine, despite maintaining the same power and torque figures, was recalibrated for better acceleration performance.

Another change occurred in the GF6-2 transmission, which began to execute shifts 50% faster. On the brink of receiving its second generation in 2015, the Cruze would also gain the OnStar system, offering various connectivity, information, safety, and emergency services. In the last year of the first generation, the manual transmission was no longer offered.

Points to Consider When Buying a Used Chevrolet Cruze

Despite having several advantages, there are some points that should be analyzed when buying the Chevrolet Cruze sedan. In first-generation models, the driver’s seat may produce noises, a problem that becomes more common in newer models.

The noise usually occurs in the passenger seat when no one is sitting in it. Additionally, the diaphragm of the valve cover is quite fragile and tears easily, regardless of maintenance. The part is not very expensive, costing about R$ 120 for an original one. As soon as you notice something strange, arrange for a replacement immediately to avoid greater losses.

There are also numerous complaints regarding the automatic transmission of the Cruze, especially in the first years of production. Lock-ups and jerking are some of the most critical problems reported by owners.

It is necessary to ensure that the Cruze you are buying was one of the units called for the replacement of the fuel filter and the driver’s airbag. To do this, simply visit the brand’s website and enter the 17 characters, including letters and numbers, that make up the chassis.

Focusing on greater agility and better performance, without a doubt, the best options for the Chevrolet Cruze sedan are those equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.

However, it is important to emphasize that buyers will have to give up the comfort of automatic shifts, but on the other hand, they will have less concern about the maintenance of the controversial automatic transmission.

Additionally, the mechanical options of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan tend to, logically, be more economical. It is possible to find units starting at R$ 55 thousand on the main used car sales websites, with a good equipment package.

É meu 4° Cruze HB e nunca tive qualquer problema mecânico ou barulhos. O câmbio automático é perfeito, sem travadas ou solavancos. Modelos 2017 a 23.

Decidam de que Cruze vcs estão falando. As duas gerações representam dois carros totalmente diferentes.
