The Ticket Log Company Conducted an Investigation and Stated That Gasoline Prices Fell 0.13% at Fuel Stations Across the Country, After the Decline in Transfer Prices to Refineries. Ethanol Continues to Rise and Becomes More Expensive in Some States.
The data from the fuel sector for this Monday, (12/19), according to the latest survey from the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), is quite optimistic for gasoline-consuming vehicles. This is because, after the adjustment made to the transfer prices to refineries, gasoline prices reached an average of R$ 5.32. Despite this, ethanol continues to rise in the first half of December, reaching R$ 4.33.
Gasoline Becomes Cheaper at Brazilian Fuel Stations After Adjustment of Transfer Prices to Refineries, Ticket Log Research Highlights
The Ticket Log Company, which is part of the Fleet and Mobility business line of Edenred Brazil, conducted the first survey of December regarding the situation of fuel prices in Brazil.
Thus, the company found that, after a 6.10% reduction in the value of gasoline transferred to refineries, effective since December 7, the price per liter of fuel showed an average decrease of 0.13% at fuel stations across the country.

The rise in oil prices could ensure an extra revenue of R$ 100 billion for the Federal Government, indicates a recent economic study.
This is a significant step for benefits to consumers to be expanded in the coming months, after a long period of rising fuel prices.
Despite this, this is still not the ideal scenario, given that only the Northeast and Central-West regions recorded a decrease in gasoline prices of 0.65% and 0.64%, closing at R$ 5.33 and R$ 5.28, respectively.
The Southeast, on the other hand, experienced a price increase of 0.21%, but still had the lowest gasoline price, reaching R$ 5.14.
The highest price per liter was found in the North region, at R$ 5.52, with the most significant increase among the regions, at 0.73%.
The data for the states is more positive, as Ticket Log found that gasoline prices fell in about 11 states.
The lowest fuel price was found in Bahia, reaching an average of R$ 5.44, a reduction of 4.23% compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, the highest gasoline price was in the state of Roraima, where the average at fuel stations reached R$ 5.89.
While the Price of One Fuel Falls in the First Half of December, Ticket Log Highlights Continuous Rise of Ethanol and Even Higher Prices During the Period
Unlike what has been happening with gasoline, ethanol continues to rise throughout Brazil and has shown price increases in some states.
According to Ticket Log, the average price per liter reached R$ 4.33 in this first half of December, a price 0.81% higher compared to November.
By region, all recorded price increases, especially the Central-West, where, despite having the lowest average, the fuel became 1.29% more expensive, closing the period at R$ 3.99.
Regarding Ticket Log’s analyses by state, only Bahia, Maranhão, Sergipe, and Acre saw a decrease in fuel prices.
Thus, Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brazil, highlighted: “In comparison to November, the number of states where ethanol was the most advantageous fuel for refueling decreased from three to one, being only Mato Grosso.”
