São Paulo City Hall Offers More Than 3,300 Job Vacancies in Various Areas Through Cate; Applications Are Open Until May 14 and Include Job Fair for the Gastronomy Sector
The São Paulo City Hall announced the opening of more than 3,300 job vacancies through Cate (Center for Work and Entrepreneurship Support). Applications are accepted until May 14 at 6 PM and cover various areas. The event “Contrata SP – Gastronomy” was also announced, focusing on opportunities in the food sector.
Various Areas and Diverse Salaries
Among the opportunities offered, there are vacancies in commerce, services, construction, and healthcare. Salaries range from R$ 850 to R$ 4,000, depending on the position. Candidates from different backgrounds can participate, including those without previous experience.
The position with the highest number of openings is for attendants. There are over 980 positions in stores, supermarkets, and bakeries. Salaries range from R$ 850 for apprentices to R$ 2,300 in permanent positions. Some companies do not require prior experience.

For those looking for telemarketing positions, there are 143 opportunities available throughout the city. No prior experience is required. Salaries range from R$ 1,518 to R$ 1,976.
Supermarkets with Over a Thousand Vacancies
The supermarket sector is also prominent. There are over a thousand vacancies, with 471 for the attendant position. The initial salary is R$ 1,800, increasing to R$ 2,000 after three months. In addition to salary, there are benefits and transportation vouchers. No experience is required.
The selection for these positions will be conducted in person at Cate Central on May 12 at 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Just bring personal documents.
The remaining vacancies in this sector are for positions like receptionist, sales promoter, loading, and unloading. Some do not require complete elementary education. For these, the application process occurs exclusively through the online platform of Cate.
Job Fair in the Gastronomy Sector
In addition to regular vacancies, the City Hall is holding the event “Contrata SP – Gastronomy.” The job fair will take place on May 14, from 9 AM to 4 PM, at Cate Central, located at Av. Rio Branco, 252. There are more than 400 vacancies aimed at the food sector. Applications are open until the day before the event, May 13, on the Cate Portal.
How to Participate in the Selection Processes
To apply, interested parties can register online at the Cate Portal or visit one of the 44 units spread across the capital. Fixed and mobile locations are available in all city regions.
Those opting for in-person service must bring their ID, CPF, and work permit, which can be physical or digital. Applications close on May 14 at 6 PM.
Cate Units Are Distributed Across All Areas of São Paulo
In the Central Zone, Cate units are located on Av. Rio Branco and Rua Quinze de Novembro. In the North Zone, there are posts in neighborhoods such as Freguesia, Jaçanã, Perus, Pirituba, Santana, and Vila Maria. There is also a unit in Parque Novo Mundo.
The South Zone has units in neighborhoods like Campo Limpo, Cidade Ademar, Interlagos, Ipiranga, Jabaquara, M’Boi Mirim, Parelheiros, Santo Amaro, Vila Mariana, and Capela do Socorro.
In the East Zone, residents can find units in locations like Aricanduva, Cidade Tiradentes, Guaianases, Itaim Paulista, Itaquera, Penha, São Mateus, São Miguel Paulista, Sapopemba, Vila Prudente, Ermelino Matarazzo, and Mooca.
In the West Zone, there are Cate units in Butantã, Pinheiros, Lapa, and Pinheirinho D’Água. All operate with the support of the Descomplica SP program.
The Last Day for In-Person and Online Applications Is May 14
Both for general job vacancies and for the gastronomy fair, the application deadline is approaching. For the selection processes organized by Cate, the deadline will be at 6 PM on May 14. In the case of the gastronomic event, applications close on May 13.
This initiative by the São Paulo City Hall aims to expand access to the job market in the capital, focusing on opportunities that do not require experience, which can benefit young people, people transitioning careers, and those who have been out of the job market for a longer time.
