Thiago Nigro, The Rich Cousin, Explains in Detail How He Would Rebuild His Fortune from Scratch in Just Six Months by Combining Simple Work, Intense Study, and Content Creation.

If he lost everything today, including contacts and assets, what would Thiago Nigro, The Rich Cousin, do to become a millionaire in just six months?

The answer came in a video published last year, where he shared, step by step, a realistic — and not glamorous — strategy for total financial reconstruction.

Working as a waiter, studying with inexpensive books, and producing content online, he demonstrates that, with knowledge, consistency, and sacrifice, it would be possible to turn R$ 270 a month into a revenue of R$ 1 million.

Everything Begins with Hard Work

In the event of having to start from scratch, with not a single real and no networking, Thiago says he would seek employment as a bartender or waiter.

He has had this experience in the past, balancing college, Mandarin studies, and gigs at bars and events. Based on that, he claims that it is possible to work almost every day as a freelancer in this sector, thanks to the high demand and turnover of professionals.

Even considering an extremely conservative estimate — R$ 61.42 per day — he projects a monthly income of R$ 1,720.

For him, this amount would be enough to cover a rent of R$ 1,000 in the eastern part of São Paulo, spend R$ 300 on food, and set aside R$ 150 for other basic utilities. This would leave a monthly surplus of R$ 270, which he claims would be the starting point to scale towards a million.

The Key is Knowledge

With that R$ 270, the priority would be to invest in books on finance, entrepreneurship, and investments. Thiago suggests looking for copies in used bookstores, where it’s possible to find good works for less than R$ 10. Reading one to two books per week would be his goal. This knowledge would be the fuel to transition from a manual worker to someone capable of creating value for others.

In Thiago’s view, “income is salary plus knowledge.” Therefore, in addition to the paid work as a waiter, he would strive to acquire as much practical knowledge as possible.

Internship for Free with Influential People

Another important decision would be to seek a free internship with influential people in the financial sector. For him, this would compensate for the lack of money with something even more valuable: practical learning from those who truly do and live what they teach. He mentions names like Luiz Alves Paes de Barros, João Braga, and Guilherme Benchimol, recognized founders and managers in the investment market.

Even though he acknowledges that not everyone has the privilege to work for free, he emphasizes that for those who can follow this path, the return in knowledge can accelerate the journey decisively.

The Return to the Internet

With part of the R$ 270 that would remain from the monthly work, Thiago states that he would purchase a cellphone on installment — possibly an iPhone XR — for about R$ 90 a month, and would hire an internet plan for R$ 50. The remainder would still be enough to cover basic expenses.

With this simple equipment, he would return to producing videos for the internet, just as he did at the beginning of his career, discussing finance, investments, and entrepreneurship. He says that the secret lies not in the structure but in the consistency and clarity of the messages. After all, his first video was recorded with a cellphone, without a set, editing, or professional lighting.

Publishing Content and Gaining Scale

With accumulated reading, practical internships, and consistently published content, the channel would start to grow. Even if slowly at first, this growth would convert into monetization via YouTube, partnerships with brands, and later on, selling courses and services.

The strategy, he says, would be to create live courses with the first students, using testimonials from these initial clients as social proof for new interested parties. This would avoid the production cost of a recorded course and allow for immediate feedback. With that, he says he would start to scale.

Projection

Based on his own experience and market knowledge, Thiago outlines a detailed estimate of monthly revenue starting from the moment he begins monetizing his audience.

In the first month, he estimates making around R$ 4 thousand. In the second month, the number would jump to R$ 13 thousand. In the third month, he projects reaching R$ 60 thousand. In the fourth, R$ 123 thousand.

In the fifth month, R$ 300 thousand. And in the sixth month, R$ 500 thousand. The total sum is R$ 1 million in revenue, achieved in six months of consistent work.

He emphasizes that these numbers may seem high to outsiders, but in his view, they are extremely conservative compared to the reality of well-positioned finance channels in Brazil.

The Difference Between Being Rich and Being Wealthy

One point Thiago highlights early in his speech is the value of knowledge. He recalls a conversation with Flávio Augusto, founder of Wise Up, where they both agree that they would prefer to start over from scratch with the knowledge they possess rather than have R$ 10 million without knowing what to do with it.

For them, those who have knowledge can rebuild even after losing everything. Conversely, those who only have money, without preparation, risk losing everything and not knowing how to start again.

No Promises, But with Conviction

Despite all the confidence in the proposed plan, Thiago Nigro makes it clear that he is not making promises or selling magic formulas. He is merely sharing what he believes could be done, based on what he experienced and learned over the years.

The plan involves sacrifice, daily effort, dedication to studies, unpaid work at the beginning, and a fair amount of initiative. But for him, it is a journey that can lead anyone — who is willing to pay the price — to reach a new financial level, even starting from scratch.

The main message left by Thiago is clear: the world is not fair, but complaining does not change reality. For those who come from a fragile background, the journey may be tougher, but it is possible to find paths. Working with dignity, studying with consistency, and bravely exposing oneself on the internet are, in his view, essential pieces to turn the tide.

And if he had to start over today, without a single cent in his pocket, that would be the formula.
