According to information released by Diário do Nordeste, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) opened, last Monday (the 25th), registrations for a selection process that provides 398 job vacancies for the 2022 Census. The registration period will extend until July 27, and the monthly salary for the approved candidates can, depending on the position, reach the amount of R$ 2.1 thousand.
The job vacancies offered through the selection process refer to the positions of Municipal Census Agent, for which 119 vacancies are allocated, and Supervisory Census Agent, which has the remaining 279 vacancies.
About the Duties and Requirements for Occupying the Available Vacancies
The position of Municipal Census Agent involves duties such as: monitoring data collection activities; equipping, managing, organizing, and taking care of the Collection Post; taking actions related to the hiring, extension of contracts, and dismissal of enumerators; coordinating census activities under their responsibility; driving their own vehicle or one rented by the Institute, if necessary for conducting surveys; among various others.

IBGE informs in the announcement that the expected duration of the contract for the filled job vacancies is up to 5 months, but it may be extended if there are pending issues in the 2022 Census.
The working hours correspond to 40 hours per week, and for the position of Municipal Census Agent, the monthly remuneration is R$ 2,100.00, while for the position of Supervisory Census Agent, the salary is R$ 1,700.00. The hired candidates will also be entitled to transportation and food allowances.
