The Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education in a National Network (ProfEPT) has published Edital No. 02/2025 of the National Access Exam (ENA) for the admission of new classes in the first semester of 2026.
The selection process provides for the offer of 769 places, distributed among 40 Associated Institutions of the Federal Network, with selection by online objective test, scheduled for February 8, 2026.

The offer is classified as semipresential, combining face-to-face activities with hybrid processes.
The organization of classes, the frequency of face-to-face meetings, and the use of virtual environments vary according to the chosen Associated Institution, respecting the general guidelines defined by the program.
Duration of the Course and Requirements for Obtaining the Diploma

The maximum period for completing the master’s degree is 24 months.
To obtain the diploma, the student must be approved in the defense of a dissertation, which must necessarily include an educational product linked to the research developed throughout the course.
In addition to the defense, the regulation requires the proof of submission of academic production related to the final work, co-authored with the advisor or advisor.
This production can take different formats accepted by the program, such as scientific article, book chapter, or complete work in qualified event annals, according to internal standards.
Who Can Apply for ProfEPT 2026
Eligible candidates are those holding a undergraduate degree recognized by MEC, in courses of licentiate, bachelor’s or technologist.
The available places are divided into two main categories, with specific criteria defined in the edital.
In the category intended for employees of the Federal Network, teaching and administrative technicians in education in exercise at Federal Institutes, CEFETs, and Colégio Pedro II may compete, including those on probation.
In the wide competition modality, the edital requires proof of a minimum of six months or 80 hours of work experience between 2024 and 2025.
This experience must be related to teaching or management practices linked to Professional and Technological Education, in formal or non-formal environments.
The edital also specifies activities that are not accepted for proof purposes.

Each institution defines the number of places by competition modality, lines of research, and affirmative actions, according to local regulations.
In the Southeast, IFES in Vitória offers 41 places, while IFMG in Ouro Branco provides 16 places.
In the Northeast, IFPE in Olinda participates with 20 places, and IFCE in Fortaleza offers 10 places.
In the North region, IFPA in Belém has 20 places.
In the Central-West, IFB in Brasília offers 23 places.

National Access Exam: Test Format and Scoring
The selection occurs exclusively through the National Access Exam (ENA).
The test is objective and online, with 20 multiple-choice questions, each with four alternatives and only one correct answer.
The content is organized into three axes: Conceptual and Historical Foundations of Professional and Technological Education, Research Methodologies, and Theories and Practices of Teaching and Learning, according to the bibliography indicated in the edital.
The test will take place on February 8, 2026, starting at 2 PM, Brasília time, and with a maximum duration of two hours.
The edital provides for additional time for candidates who have approved requests for special assistance. The scoring system follows specific rules.
Each correct answer is worth five points, unanswered questions do not score, and incorrect answers incur a one-point deduction, with the possibility of a negative final score, depending on the candidate’s performance.
Official Dates of the ProfEPT 2026 Timeline
Applications will be open from December 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026, with payment of the fee until January 16.
The preliminary approval of applications is scheduled for January 23, with a deadline for appeals before final approval, scheduled for January 30.
After the exam, the preliminary answer key will be published on February 9, with the possibility of submitting appeals.
The definitive answer key and individual scores are to be published on February 20, and the final result of the ENA is scheduled for March 2, 2026.
The stages of proof of quotas and registration are the responsibility of the Associated Institutions.
How to Register for the ProfEPT Master’s Degree
Registration must be done exclusively online, through the official selection process system of ProfEPT.
At the time of registration, the candidate must choose only one Associated Institution, indicate the type of vacancy, opt for affirmative actions when applicable and request special assistance, if necessary.
The payment of the fee of R$ 160 is mandatory for the confirmation of enrollment, except in cases of approved exemption. All stages of the selection process should be followed directly in the official system of the program.
