Rio Pomba Valley Program, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem of Zona da Mata Mineira, Opens Enrollment for Free Technical Course in Systems Development.

The Rio Pomba Valley is a vital initiative for the growth of technology and innovation in the Zona da Mata Mineira. Recently, enrollments were opened for the free technical course in Systems Development, aimed at low-income youth in the region. This course is recognized by the MEC and offers a diploma that is valid throughout Brazil, thus guaranteeing a valuable opportunity for those looking to specialize in the technology field. Enrollment is open until July 21, allowing more young people to participate in this exceptional program.

The third class of the course offered by Rio Pomba Valley is prepared to equip students with practical and theoretical skills in Systems Development. This program is a significant initiative from Instituto Energisa, aiming to create a robust ecosystem for technological innovation. The course is entirely free, making learning accessible to young talents who wish to build a solid career in the IT field. With the diploma being nationally recognized, participants will have numerous opportunities in the job market. This is undoubtedly an unmissable chance for those who want to enter the world of technology.

Innovation and Technology in Zona da Mata Mineira

Technology and innovation in Zona da Mata Mineira, in its 3rd edition, have consolidated as a reference in technological training. The initiative, sponsored by Grupo Energisa, offers a technical course recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), with a diploma valid throughout the national territory. Launched in 2022, with the proposal to transform the Zona da Mata Mineira into a tech hub and create an environment of entrepreneurship and innovation, Rio Pomba Valley is accepting applications to fill 40 spots aimed at qualifying low-income youth in Systems Development.

To apply, you must reside in Zona da Mata Mineira, be over 16 years old, be attending the 2nd year or have already completed high school in public schools, and have a family per capita income of up to three minimum wages. Students with scholarships at private institutions can also participate. Demonstrating interest in technology areas and possessing logical reasoning skills will be considered advantages.

Partnerships and Program Structure

The program has the FIEMG System as a pedagogical partner, conducted through SENAI Cataguases and the Instituto Euvaldo Lodi (IEL). Classes will be held in person at SENAI Cataguases, with a start date set for September 16. Enrollment is open until July 21 and can be done via the link: https://trabalheconosco.vagas.com.br/rpv-energisa. In addition to being recognized by MEC, the new course is more comprehensive and has been structured to meet the growing market demands.

With a workload of 1,200 hours, spread over 18 months, the program’s curriculum covers content beyond the Full Stack from previous years, including practical subjects such as entrepreneurship, introduction to DevOps, creativity and ideation in innovation projects, web interface design, client-side programming, prototyping innovative business, and information security technology, among others.

Objectives and Impact on the Job Market

One of the main intentions of the Rio Pomba Valley initiative, which has already received more than 1,800 enrollments in previous editions, is to ensure that participants, after completing the course, are absorbed by the job market. This goal has been successfully achieved. In 2022, the program trained 35 young people in the IT area, of which seventeen were hired by Energisa and others were employed by different companies, achieving an employment rate of 80% among graduates. The second class is completing the course in September this year.

Commitment to Training and Sustainable Development

Eduardo Mantovani, CEO of Energisa Minas Rio, emphasizes: ‘We recognize the enormous potential of Zona da Mata Mineira to become a center of technological innovation in Brazil, and we leverage it by offering high-quality technology training for young people in the region. We are committed to creating opportunities and fostering an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. By empowering these young people, we are not only transforming their lives but also contributing to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the region’. The program aligns with the strategic objectives of Grupo Energisa, which aims to promote education and technological innovation.

Training professionals in technology careers, especially in Industry 4.0, is a vital step to stimulate creativity and innovation in the region. In addition, the program develops partnerships with public and private entities, enhancing the initiative.

Promotion of the Technology Ecosystem

The creation of an environment of interactions and cooperations between companies, universities, startups, and investors not only generates social impact but also strengthens a technology ecosystem conducive to the development of innovative ideas, products, and solutions, encouraging entrepreneurship.
