This Is What the Data from the Report of the Economic Department of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (FAESP) Shows, Based on the New General Register of Employed and Unemployed (New CAGED).
On Wednesday, the president of FAESP, Fábio de Salles Meirelles, stated that in the sector, “we are concerned that changes in the Federal Government may harm the sector in ways that could compromise activity and, consequently, the Brazilian economy,” lamented Meirelles. This fear is justified by the fact that the Federation is not in favor of the division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
In general, it can be said that there was a rise of 0.85% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the state of São Paulo, admissions were around 25,067, which represents a decrease of 11.83% compared to November 2022, and a decrease of 38.05% when compared to November 2021.
Regarding the layoffs, it was recorded that in October 2022, agriculture dismissed 10.39% more than in November, in which 33,162 were laid off. Compared to 2021, layoffs increased by 36.58%.

In the country, the job balance in the agricultural sector was a loss of 18,211, resulting from the difference between 98,271 layoffs and 80,060 admissions, representing a monthly variation of a decrease of 12.85% in admissions and an increase of 5.9% in dismissals. In the annual analysis, there was an increase in admissions of 2.56%, as well as an increase in dismissals of 0.70%.
