Nearly 3,000 Job Openings in the Service Sector Due to Projected 62.5% Growth By Year-End

São Paulo, July 2022 – According to the National Confederation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC), this sector currently accounts for more than 62% of formal job openings, and growth is expected – 673,000 jobs are expected to be created by the end of the year.

Projections like those from Ipea (Institute for Applied Economic Research), which estimates a 1.8% growth in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and 2.8% in the services sector this year, reinforce that the second half holds good prospects for those seeking reemployment.

“The demand for job openings during the pandemic was predominantly concentrated in health, information technology, and logistics. With the resumption of face-to-face activities, and based on the consultancy’s history, the trend is an increase in job openings starting in August,” highlights Gabriela Mative, selection director at Luandre.

At the consultancy, this month, there are a total of 2,930 job openings across Brazil, including for those seeking their first job. “There are hiring opportunities in the commerce, industry, health, and logistics segments,” affirms Gabriela.
