With the commitment to provide access to quality education, the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai) is currently open for applications for 120 free spots in technical courses at the intermediate level, in Nova Friburgo. The opportunities are for technical courses in Work Safety, Systems Development, and Mechanics.
The applications must be submitted by the 18th, and may close before this deadline once the number of applicants reaches the limit of available spots.
Classes Start in August
The classes will begin in August of this year and will be in-person, held four days a week at Senai Centro and one day of self-study in a virtual learning environment. Therefore, it is essential for candidates to also have access to a computer or laptop, as part of the courses will be conducted online, following the EaD (Distance Education) strategy.

“Technical qualification is essential for the employability of young people and adults. Therefore, the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan) is offering, through Senai, free spots in technical courses, aiming to expand the work and income opportunities for students. We are committed to providing quality education that meets the needs of the job market and contributes to the socioeconomic development of the State,” emphasizes Edson Melo, Professional Education Manager at Senai.
Who Can Participate
To participate, candidates must meet the specific prerequisites of the desired courses, including age and educational background, as well as a gross monthly family income per capita of up to 1.5 federal minimum wages, proven through a self-declaration.
Selection Process
The selection test will be held on the 20th from 10 AM to 12 PM, consisting of multiple-choice questions on Portuguese Language and Mathematics. Candidates must present proof of registration, an official document with a photo, and a blue or black ballpoint pen.
There will be no registration and enrollment fees. The results will be announced at Senai. In case of a tie, tiebreaker criteria include the highest score in Portuguese Language, the highest score in Mathematics, oldest age, and order of registration.

Registration for Senai Technical Courses
To register, interested parties must attend in person at the Senai Centro unit, located at Rua Prefeito José Eugênio Muller, 220, in Nova Friburgo. Registration will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is necessary to present an official document with a photo and complete the registration form on-site.
Spots are limited and registration may close before the final deadline if the maximum number of applicants is reached. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates register as soon as possible to secure their participation in the offered technical courses.
