If you are looking to qualify and boost your career, now is the time. Senai of the Federal District has made available 2,760 vacancies in professional qualification courses, which can be taken in person or online. And there’s more: another 240 vacancies are for in-person improvement courses. All of this aimed at low-income individuals who want to secure their place in the job market.
The vacancies are for classes in the last quarter of 2024, so there’s time to organize properly. The call for students will be made by email or phone, and each candidate will have up to two business days to attend the unit where the course will be offered to confirm enrollment, from Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. If a person does not show up within the deadline, the vacancy will be automatically lost.
Students under 18 years old must be accompanied by one of their parents or a legal guardian.
What Senai Says About These Courses
The Executive Manager of Education at Senai-DF, Valéria Silva, states that the goal of these courses is to provide professional training for low-income individuals so that they can be integrated into the job market. “Today, we have a very high demand for various professionals, so in this announcement, we have courses in two modalities. First is qualification, where the person will be ready to be inserted into the industry or will attempt a reallocation. We also have courses in the modality of improvement and updating of new techniques.”
For Valéria, the courses launched in this announcement are different. She considers that as the industry progresses, the participation of professionals who are suited to new technologies is increasingly necessary. “And that is our role at Senai, to work on training these professionals.” She emphasizes that in addition to in-person courses, candidates also have the option of the online course, which is 100% virtual. “The person will have more ease and flexibility to fit the training according to their availability.”
Inclusion and Accessibility
Of the available vacancies, 10% are reserved for individuals with disabilities, in accordance with Federal Law No. 12.711/2012. According to Valéria, this is part of the Senai Program for Inclusive Actions (PSAI). “Our schools are already qualified in terms of accessibility to accommodate these students, both regarding methodology and infrastructure.” She explains that if the priority vacancies are not filled by individuals with disabilities, they can be allocated to other candidates.
How to Enroll
The specific prerequisites for each course are listed in the notice of the available vacancies and on the enrollment page. Candidates are allowed to enroll in up to two courses, provided they are in different shifts. It is necessary to be over 16 years old to start the enrollment process. You must present an identification document, proof of education, and proof of residence.
Enrollments must be made through the Senai-DF website: cursos.senaidf.org.br. The vacancies will be filled in the order of enrollment. In total, the classes of the offered modalities will last from 20 to 280 hours. The first classes started on October 1st, and the last ones on November 25th. At the end of the course, the student receives a training certificate.
