The Federal Institute of Southern Minas (IFSULDEMINAS) opened a selection process for the first semester of 2026 with 300 free places in the Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy, offered in the semipresential modality.

The opportunities are distributed between the poles of Muzambinho (250 places) and Bragança Paulista (50 places).

The selection will be made by presential exam or Enem score, valid from the editions of 2017 to 2024.

Applications will be open from September 17 to November 14, 2025, and the exam is scheduled for December 7, 2025.

The semipresential model, according to the announcement, combines distance activities and mandatory presential meetings for evaluations and pedagogical practices.

The offering follows the Regulatory Framework for Distance Education, published by the Ministry of Education in May 2025, which defines guidelines for undergraduate courses in this modality.

Details of the Announcement and Entry Forms

The selection is governed by the Announcement No. 262/2025, which provides for entry into presential and semipresential higher education courses of the institute.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy has a duration of four years, is free of charge, and offers two forms of entry.

The candidate can choose to use the Enem score, considering the highest score obtained between 2017 and 2024, or take the presential exam at the chosen pole.

The document also defines a registration fee of R$ 40 and the schedule for all stages: announcement of the list of registered candidates on December 1, 2025, exam on December 7, announcement of the final answer key on December 12, and results on January 13, 2026.

The classified candidates may request online enrollment according to the planned calendar.

Available Places and Poles

The course will be offered by the Muzambinho Campus, with two poles: Muzambinho and Bragança Paulista.

There are 300 places in total, with 250 for Muzambinho and 50 for Bragança Paulista.

In both poles, the regime is semipresential, with 50% of the workload taught remotely and 50% in person.

According to the institute, the presential meetings are aimed at practical activities, internships, and evaluations.

IFSULDEMINAS informs that all higher education courses at the institution are free of charge and have academic support structure, such as libraries, pedagogical support, and technical assistance for students.

Criteria and Stages of the Selection

The presential exam consists of objective questions and a dissertative-argumentative essay.

The announcement details the correction criteria, the situations that may lead to disqualification, and the tie-breaking rules.

In the case of Enem scores, the IFSULDEMINAS system directly consults the Inep database, considering the highest result of the candidate.

“Trainee” participants or candidates who have scored zero on the essay or any objective test are not accepted.

The selection process follows Law No. 12,711/2012, which deals with the quota policy, providing for reserved places for students from public schools, people with disabilities, and candidates who are black, brown, or indigenous.

The institution also conducts heteroidentification procedures and provides specialized assistance for participants needing adaptations during the exam.

Applications can be made until November 14, 2025, at 5:59 PM.

The definitive registration receipt will be announced on December 1, and the presential exam will take place on December 7.

The preliminary answer key will be released the next day, with the final version expected on December 12.

The grades from the exams and the Enem modality will be published on January 7, 2026, with an appeal period until January 9.

The final result is expected on January 13, and enrollment requests may be made between January 13 and 19.

Subsequent stages of calling and document analysis will take place until February 2026.

Structure and Profile of the Pedagogy Course

According to the institute, the Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy trains professionals capable of working in Early Childhood Education, in the Initial Years of Elementary School, and in management and pedagogical coordination roles.

The workload is divided between theoretical subjects and presential practical activities, including mandatory supervised internships.

The adequacy to the semipresential format complies with the guidelines from the Ministry of Education for teacher education courses.

Target Audience and Requirements for Enrollment

The announcement is aimed at candidates who have completed high school.

At the time of enrollment, it is necessary to select the desired pole and the entry form (exam or Enem).

For those who choose the exam, it is also necessary to indicate the application location.

According to the regulations, the exams will have gate opening at 7:30 AM and closing at 8:30 AM, Brasília time.

Applications must be made exclusively online, on the IFSULDEMINAS portal, with payment of the fee of R$ 40.

The candidate needs to have a gov.br account, access the Announcement No. 262/2025, select the course and pole of preference, and choose the type of entry.

It is also possible to request specialized assistance within the timeframe.
