The City Of Macaé (RJ) Is Offering 40 Free Spots For Professional Training Courses Through The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras. This Initiative Aims To Provide Educational Development, In Addition To Offering Financial Aid Through Scholarships For Participants Who Are In Conditions Of Economic And Social Vulnerability. The Main Purpose Of The Program Is To Increase Employment Opportunities And Income Generation In The Region, Promoting Greater Autonomy For The Beneficiaries.
Resulting From A Partnership Between Petrobras And The Federal Institute Of Education, Science And Technology Fluminense (IFF), The Registrations For This Professional Training Project Will Be Open From September 5 To 18, 2024.

In Macaé, 40 Spots Are Offered In Courses Such As General Services Assistant, Technical In Electrotechnics, Technical In Welding, Technical In Automation, Industrial Painter, Among Others. The Duration Of The Courses Varies According To The Area Of Specialization.

The Focus Of The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras Is To Provide Training For Thousands Of Brazilians Facing Economic And Social Vulnerability In Various Regions Of The Country. The In-Person Classes For The General Services Assistant Course Are Scheduled To Start On October 14, Lasting Four Months And Will Be Held In The Afternoon, From Monday To Friday.
Benefits And Selection Process
The Selected Students For The Technical Qualification Courses Will Receive A Monthly Scholarship Of R$ 660, While Mothers With Children Up To 11 Years Old Will Be Entitled To R$ 858. To Participate, The Candidate Must Be Over 18 Years Old, Reside In Macaé, Have Completed Elementary School I (From 1st To 5th Grade), And Be In A Situation Of Economic Vulnerability.
The Selection Process Of The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras Will Prioritize Low-Income Individuals Without Formal Employment, Who Face Social Exclusion. Among The Priority Groups Are Women, Black And Brown People, Transgender Individuals, Indigenous People, Quilombolas, Refugees, And People With Disabilities.
Petrobras Will Offer 3,330 Spots In Technical And Professional Courses Totally Free In Rio De Janeiro
Overall, The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras Will Offer 3,330 Spots In The State Of Rio De Janeiro, Covering Cities Such As Duque De Caxias, Niterói, Rio De Janeiro, São Gonçalo, And Macaé, With 990 Of Those Spots Exclusively For Macaé By 2027. The Upcoming Courses Will Include Areas Such As Automation, Quality, Electrotechnics, Mechanics, Metallurgy, Safety, Production, And Welding, Among Other Industries.
In Addition To The Partnership With Federal Institutes, Petrobras Also Collaborates With SENAI, Which Will Offer Spots In Technical Qualification Courses. The Key Word Of The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras Is “Training”, And, In Collaboration With The Foundation For Supporting IFSul (FAIFSul) And SESI-SENAI, The Program Seeks To Expand Job Opportunities For Residents In Areas Where Petrobras Operates.
Education And Employment
Launched In June, The Autonomy And Income Program Petrobras Is Already Offering Technical Training Courses Aimed At The Industrial Control And Process Technology Sector, With The Goal Of Qualifying Professionals To Work In The Oil And Gas Industry. The Program Not Only Prepares Workforce To Meet The Demands Of This Sector But Also Aims To Strengthen The Local Economy And Empower Vulnerable Groups.
In The Next Four Years, Petrobras Plans To Invest Approximately R$ 350 Million For The Training Of About 19,000 Qualified Professionals For The Oil And Gas Sector In States Like Pernambuco, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, And Rio Grande Do Sul.
