Tutoring Opportunity
With applications open from October 2 to 13, 2024, UEA is selecting qualified professionals to act as tutors for distance education courses. The selection process was formalized in Public Notice No. 076/2024, which details the requirements, steps, and available spots for interested candidates.

Candidate Profile
To apply, candidates must meet specific criteria:
- Academic Background: A degree in the relevant area is required, preferably with teaching experience.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of work in basic or higher education is required.
- Fixed Residence: Candidates must reside in the chosen Local Support Center.
Available Positions
UEA offers a total of 14 positions distributed among the following categories of tutors:
- Tutor UAB I (Code PGMDE): 6 spots in Polos such as Carauari, Itacoatiara, Manaquiri, Manaus, Parintins, Tabatinga, and Tefé.
Requirements: Degree in Computer Science (preferably), postgraduate in the area, and a minimum of one year of teaching experience. - Tutor UAB II (Code ENSBIO): 4 spots in Chupinguaia, Manacapuru, Manaus, and Tabatinga.
Requirements: Degree in Biological Sciences or Natural Sciences, and a minimum of one year of teaching experience. - Tutor UAB III (Code LICMAT): 1 spot in Santa Isabel do Rio Negro.
Requirements: Degree in Mathematics and a minimum of one year of teaching experience. - Tutor UAB IV (Code ADMAVA): 3 spots in Itacoatiara (1) and Manaus (2).
Requirements: Degree in any area of knowledge and a minimum of one year of teaching experience.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three essential stages:
- Curriculum and Document Analysis
- Interview
- Tutoring Training Course
The selection will be based on scoring criteria defined in the public notice, with a minimum score required to advance in each phase of the process.
Timeline
Stay alert to the schedule of activities:

- Preliminary Result: October 21, 2024
- Training Course: October 30 to November 6, 2024
- Final Call: October 29, 2024

Sou professora aposentada, com 13 anos de experiência em Educação a Distância (EAD). Fui Coordenadora do Polo Etec IFSul de Minas, Polo Presencial em Três Pontas. Trabalhei por 30 anos na Prefeitura Municipal de Três Pontas, onde atuei como professora por 8 anos e, por 22 anos, como Supervisora Pedagógica (Especialista em Educação). Além disso, trabalhei na Secretaria Municipal de Educação por 3 mandatos, exercendo a função de Técnica Pedagógica, responsável pelo Ensino Fundamental de toda a Rede Municipal.
Tenho grande interesse na vaga de tutor a distância e acredito que minha experiência em EAD, assim como no Ensino Fundamental e Superior, poderia contribuir significativamente com os cursos a distância do Estado do Amazonas.
Possuo um Currículo Lattes que posso enviar, caso necessário. Contudo, observei no edital que um dos critérios é residir no Estado do Amazonas. Gostaria de saber se seria possível retificar esse critério, considerando que se trata de Educação a Distância, o que poderia permitir a participação de candidatos de outras localidades e ampliar as oportunidades para a seleção.
