Embraer, A Global Leader In The Aerospace Sector, Announced Today The Signing Of A Contract Worth R$ 102 Million With The Brazilian Army For The Delivery Of A Unit Of The SABER M200 Vigilante Radar. The Agreement Was Signed During The BID Show, One Of The Main Defense And Security Events In Brazil, Marking Another Important Step In The Modernization Of The Country’s Defense Capabilities.
The Embraer radar, which will be delivered in a series configuration, will undergo technical and operational evaluations to define its future use in the Brazilian Army’s Anti-Aircraft Artillery units. This will be the first radar of its kind operated by the land force, specifically aimed at low and medium altitude air defense.
National Technology And Innovation
The SABER M200 Vigilante uses technology for advanced signal processing that is fully developed in Brazil by Embraer. It is capable of detecting and tracking aircraft positions and trajectories, as well as classifying aerial targets. Its mobility is another advantage: equipped with an integrated power generator, it can be easily transported by land or air, increasing its versatility in the operational field.
This contract “reinforces Brazil’s technological autonomy in defense and expands the capabilities of the Brazilian Army to protect our airspace,” said an Embraer spokesperson.
