The oil and gas sector continues to be one of the most promising areas in Brazil, especially for those who dream of working aboard and achieving financial stability in one of the most valued sectors in the market. To meet this demand, Firjan SENAI opened registrations for the Public Notice of the Professional Qualification Program in Offshore Oil Production Operation, offering 120 free positions in RJ intended for technicians who wish to specialize and increase their chances of working on platforms.

Those who are approved will receive a valid certificate throughout Brazil, recognized by the MEC and highly valued in the oil and gas sector.

In addition, students will receive a scholarship of up to R$ 3,500 throughout the course, paid in monthly installments of R$ 700, to help cover food and transportation costs.

A Course to Train Specialists in Oil and Gas

The course aims to prepare professionals to act directly in the operation and maintenance of offshore platforms, training technicians from various fields to perform strategic functions in the sector.

With a workload of 340 in-person hours, students will have access to technical and socio-emotional modules, which include practical and theoretical classes, forums, and group dynamics.

Classes will take place in the evening, from Monday to Friday, from 6 PM to 10 PM, with biweekly meetings on Saturdays. To pass, a minimum attendance of 75% and a grade above 60 points per subject are required.

Available Positions and Offer Locations

In total, there are 120 positions distributed across two Firjan SENAI units:

70 positions at SENAI Benfica (RJ), in the evening;
50 positions at SENAI Macaé (RJ), also in the evening.

The choice of location must be made at the time of registration, according to the candidate’s availability and interest.

How the Selection Process Works for the Free Offshore Oil Production Operation Course at Firjan Senai

The selection process will be conducted in three eliminatory stages. The first is an online work style mapping test, sent via email.

Then, the approved candidates will take an in-person test of Portuguese Language and Mathematics, composed of 40 objective questions.

The final stage will be a practical and situational dynamic, which evaluates skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and safety attitudes. Only the candidates with the best performance will advance to enrollment.

Registration Requirements

To participate, it is necessary to be at least 18 years old by the registration date and to have completed a technical high school course between 2010 and 2025, in areas such as Mechanics, Industrial Automation, Chemistry, Petrochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics, Instrumentation, and related fields.

It is also necessary to present supporting documentation (declaration or valid diploma) at the time of registration.

Additionally, since the course is in-person, the candidate must have the ability to travel to the chosen unit and be available to attend all activities. People with disabilities may also participate, provided they present a medical report.
