About the Petrobras Refinery REFAP in Canoas-RS

The Alberto Pasqualini Refinery – REFAP is located in an area of 580 hectares in the municipality of Canoas-RS, where the Fazenda da Brigadeira used to be. It processes 32,000 m³/day and mainly serves the regional market, focusing on maximizing diesel oil production. Since 2001, it has been established as Alberto Pasqualini – Refap SA, and was reintegrated into Petrobras in August 2012.

The Petrobras refinery is connected, via pipelines, to the Almirante Soares Dutra Maritime Terminal (Tedut) in Osório/RS, and to the Niterói Terminal (Tenit) in Canoas/RS, from which the transport of products is carried out via waterways to the Terminal of Rio Grande in Rio Grande/RS.
